飛翔 L 牧場度假村(Flying L Ranch Resort)

Quite Clean and well upkept facility. Enjoying the amenities and fast pace life in the city is good, but there is nothing like the peacefulness of the Flying L Ranch Resort. we have enjoyed this place before...... and we shall again..........

Cost is a bit high & there are no elevators. Otherwise a very nice property.

We stayed in an Apache cabin which was clean and comfortable, although the mattress was noisy when we shifted around. Evening campfires and wagon rides to feed the deer were still available even though we were there in the fall. It was somewhat inconvenient that we could not charge purchases or bar/restaurant charges to our room and had to carry cash or cards. It was disappointing that the golf course, driving range and putting green were all under construction, but we were aware of this going in and expect that the final results will be worth the wait. Pizza in the bar was delicious. It also seemed a little strange to us that there are personal homes scattered around the resort property.

We stayed here to observe the eclipse on Oct. 14 and it was perfect for that. We were able to set up our telescopes on a huge expanse of lawn in front of the cabins. The cabins themselves are fine. They are log cabins, and ours was crammed with beds in order to sleep 4. It was rustic themed and very nice. The only bad thing was there was almost no light at night! Except for the bathroom there were only two dim lightbulbs. There was no way I could read a book. The coffee pot was very mediocre, as were the soap/shampoos. But it was adequate and we totally enjoyed the cabin. (I gave the property conditions only 3 stars because lots of attractions on the property were closed because they were redoing the irrigation system.)

I gave four stars because the amenities are good, biking, tennis, basketball, horse riding and walking trails. I booked the historic suite. The layout was bad! The front door opens to the primary bedroom. Lots of bugs were waiting to get in at night. The furnitures, bedding and towels are uniformly brown, making it hard to tell how clean or unclean they are, but the floor is definitely dusty because my socks turned black quickly. The Grill on-site has limited staff. We were sent to town for dinner at 8pm even though the grill was supposed to close at 10pm. Fortunately the town is 7 minutes away and a few restaurants open late. The ground of the resort is pleasant and quiet.

We loved our stay here especially the wagon ride, feeding the deer, s’mores, and Buck singing with his guitar. I also was impressed of the cleanliness of our historic villa.

The resort was really nice and what we expected. There are lots of things to do there and a nice restaurant and bar as well. Very close to Downtown Bandera, less than a 5 minute drive.

Lots of options here for family entertainment and things to keep the kids busy. Our cabin was clean and nice but would've like a more comfortable bench on the porch - ouch - and a more comfortable pillow. Otherwise, pretty good all around.

It's like a dude ranch / resort. Our room was small. The bed was uncomfortable and noisy. Squeaked every time we moved. For a resort there really wasn't much to do and the restaurant was closed. Pool was decent. I had hoped for more activities. I asked about upgrading upon arrival and was told they really couldn't because I booked through *******.
