Barnstaple The staff weren’t very welcoming to be honest seemed more interested in chatting to one another. I paid extra for the plus room And even said in the leaflets in the room if u required more coffee pods from front desk you could When I did said no sorry can only give u the packet coffee I paid extra for the extra comforts of the room and was declined this So was very annoyed as it may not seem like a big deal but my reason for travel was going to a funeral and simple things can give u comfort. The room itself was warm and the bed was super comfortable and very clean cat fault the cleanliness of the room And the shower and mini fridge in the room was very good I found the restaurant next door which is connected to the premier was very expensive But there is a Tesco not to far from the accommodation within walking distance which was ideal we had a mini fridge in the room I would stay here again if staff were trained to be more friendly I’m autistic so it’s already a challenge without unhelpful staff

A return visit for a two night stay, the receptionist was friendly and helpful and the room we stayed in which seemed to be newly refurbished, was clean, smart and stylish. Great shower and soft white towels, we also enjoyed two peaceful nights sleep. Our breakfasts and evening meals at the restaurant next door were good too. Plenty of free parking just register vehicle number in reception.

We had a lovely weekend stay at Premier Inn Barnstaple. The hotel was spotless, the room was comfortable, and everything felt really well looked after. The staff were especially helpful and friendly, always welcoming and happy to assist with anything we needed, which made the stay even more enjoyable. Overall, it was a really pleasant experience and we’d happily stay again.

Easy £6 taxi from Barnstaple train and in a quiet spot considering it’s on the busy A361 for car access The usual excellent and clean Premier Inn room and bed. Decor may have been recently refreshed and the room was well soundproofed Breakfast in the adjacent restaurant was straightforward and one of the best Premier Inn continental breakfasts we have experienced - the restaurant is warm, well laid out and not at all “institutional” All the team (hotel and restaurant) were up to the normal Whitbread positive and friendly standard We look forward to a return visit later in 2026

Went to have a drink on the way home. Live in Barnstaple but not been in for a while. Immediately walking in on the right hand side there is a ripped curved bench seat, and when I say ripped, It was shredded. Served by neutral staff with the manager moaning to them he was bored because 'the next lot aren't due in until 5'. Perhaps he could clean his glasses so he view the filthy shelves, dusty sills and skirting, then remove the billowing cobwebs, and possibly clear up the abandoned food from both tables and floors. It is a disgrace and fortunate for the manager that Head Office clearly do not visit

The room and food were excellent and I feel that three members of staff in particular - Gill, Ant and Erin - deserve a special mention. They were so friendly and helpful, guiding me through several changes to my original booking and making sure that I wasn't inconvenienced in any way. Gill was my first point of contact and is such an excellent front of house person and a real credit to your Company!!

What great value for money & perfect accommodation. What more do you need for a good nights sleep. One of the best beds to be found in any hotel & I have stayed in a lot over the years

Had a wonderful stay here.First time usingPremier Plus facilities and it really was great. Hotel spotlessly clean and staff very helpful.

Freddie and Sue handled this mornings fire alarm very well in my opinion. After having to evacuate us all at 6 am. Dealing with the fire crews and sourcing the alarm codes. Very well.done. not an easy situation at all. At 6 am. Great staff.

Location :- this premier inn is located 5 mins away from the town center. With parking on site ( just remember to put in your details / car reg ) when you check in to avoid any parking fine. Plenty of parking. Staff :- Very pleasant staff. Went downstairs to ask for extra milk and coffee. Ended up with a bag full of them. Very pleased. Room :- I opted for the Premier Plus room this time around and I was pleasantly surprised. They had a mini fridge , coffee machine , and to top it off a wireless charging pad on the side of the bed. Spacious room with modern looks to it. Restaurant / food :- The restaurant is literally next to the hotel / again make sure you put your car reg in to avoid any fines. The restaurant itself was rather big space wise. Staff took me to my table. Got there early than usual / about 6pm so the restaurant wasn't that busy. Opted for a side of garlic bread with the Korean style burger. Both of which was cooked to the tee. 10/10 for the food.

Had a great stay here. Staff were really friendly. The room was so good. It was so modern and clean. Just been decorated to a very high standard. The bed was so comfortable. Had room and meal deal for less than £100. Absolute bargain. Evening meal was awesome and so was breakfast. Definitely stay again and recommend to anyone. 😊👍🏻
