Fint hotell men väldigt dyr mat

Na een lange tijd weer terug in dit mooie hotel. Een speciaal compliment voor medewerker Koen die mij op een zeer klantvriendelijke wijze incheckte. In keurige kamer een goede nachtrust gehad en natuurlijk de volgende ochtend eerst nog even genieten van een lekker ontbijt. Tot de volgende keer, zeker weten!

Dit business-hotel boekten wij voor enkele dagen “fietsen in Limburg”. Het is een mooi hotel, modern en zeer proper. Er valt weinig of niets op aan te merken. Er is géén bar in het hotel, dat is wel beetje jammer. ‘S avonds na (in ons geval) een fietstocht of na (in het waarschijnlijk veel meer voorkomend geval) een vergadering nog eentje drinken zit er dus niet in. Er is wel een restaurant in het pand, maar dat staat verder los van het hotel. Het ontbijt was netjes en lekker. Ook hierop niets aan te merken. Ander groot pluspunt is de ligging. Vlakbij de autostrade sta je snel waar je maar zijn wil. Het hotel beschikt ook over een zeer ruime parking.

Arrived late, had self checkin there so that was practical. Nice hotel, nice room. Good a/c. Breakfast didn’t have the biggest selection, but the food they had there was very good, probably the best bacon I’ve had in a hotel so far. Friendly staff, decent price

Toilet seat and bowl had dried-in spots on them. Not many, but clearly visible and the cleaning crew obviously dos not have not the time to care about those details: detergents had been applied but these spots missed. The brush was soiled. Now I could clean the toilet some more without a problem but a) for 130 bucks I expect spotless plus it b) raises the follow-up question: what else did they omit? TV remote? door handles? fridge? The "can't open windows" approach is one thing, I don't like it but as it's part of the energy deal I can see the point. The ventilation, though, comes up audible on regular settings, not "boost", not just for start-up so if you are susceptible to being disturbed in your sleep by such events you better are ok with wearing earplugs at night. Hint: provide some in the rooms, there's quite some noise from the street coming in. Plus for air conditioning. Mitsubishi, top equipment. Bed comfy, above what I expected.

I just like the hotel

"No fringe" business hotel, that gives you exactly what you expect : impressive income hall, nice clean rooms, a breakfast with all the typical ingredients. It's a pity that the windows can not be opened, but are replace by a pump/motor that can be switched on to bring fresh air in (who invents these things ?? isn't that what a window is supposed to do ?). Be aware that there is no bar in the hotel, which is also a somewhat missed opportunity. There is a (good) restaurant in the same building, but that is not really linked to the hotel.

Clean and modern hotel ideally equiped for business with a healthy breakfast (probably a little to minimalistic in services for a family stay). Staff is friendly and helpfull. Only downside, although I could charge my car in the garage (for a small fee) I wasnt able to charge it fully over the night due to the low charging speed of the charging station.
