Based on other positive reviews we selected this hotel. Check in was the best part in that we arrived after midnight and the desk attendant was polite and checked us in quickly. Downhill after that. We were assigned a first floor room that was located directly in front of the breakfast room. Upon opening the door to the room we were overtaken by the smell of cigarette smoke. One of the persons in our party has asthma, so we reported it to the attendant but was only offered to have the room sprayed and that they had no other rooms available. We decided to keep the room rather than leave and not find another hotel. We slept about 4 hours until the banging of the breakfast room doors and the loud talking in the hallway outside of our door started at around 5:45 AM. This room shouldn’t be given to paying hotel guests. Ask for top floor away from lobby/breakfast room.

Called down to front desk for extra toilet paper and he pretty much said come get it! No room service for housekeeping???

Staff was very nice and helpful. The facilities needed a little updates but it was very clean. I would stay again

Accidentally booked for an extra night. Contacted ******* immediately and ******* called front desk at hotel. Front desk advised ******* rep not to cancel my reservation bc rooms were limited and I may not be able to rebook. Chris from the hotel said he would note my reservation and I wouldn’t be charged for the extra night that I wasn’t staying. Upon check in, this was all confirmed. Upon check out, front desk “manager” Nicky would not agree to these terms and charged me for the extra night plus an “early checkout fee”. P.S. I have screenshots from the conversation with ******* rep.

Loved our stay! Easy to find, plenty of parking, outside was clean and area was safe. The restaurant, Hamburger Heaven, is right in front of the hotel. Check in was fast and easy. Attendant was very polite. We stayed on the 4th floor…very quiet in the hall and on both sides of our room. Room had enough space for two. Lounge chair, desk with rolling chair, fridge, micro, etc. The bed and pillows were comfortable. No issues with the bathroom. Breakfast is your usual continental…bread, pastries, fruit, yogurt, waffles, eggs, sausage, cereal, coffee, juices, etc. There was plenty available when we ate. Thank you!

Room had 2 full beds, should have been queen size. Bathroom needs some upkeep. Had some issues with TV.

Breakfast should have some variety on the protein each day. gets old eating the same thing daily. maybe alternate bacon/sausage. would be nice to have potatoes and some fresh fruit.

We came to tour a college in Birmingham and chose comfort inn to stay while we were there. The hotel was fine, the staff were kind and helpful. Breakfast was good and it was a clean facility. We didn’t need anything spectacular as it was just a place to lay our heads for the nights we were there. Unfortunately plans changed when we got out of the airport. We didn’t realize how rough the area surrounding the college and this hotel were. The morning we left we heard some awful news stories that confirmed my daughter would not be attending school there. The hotel accommodated us by canceling our rooms and refunding the other two nights we weren’t going to stay. The young man J was very kind and patient and worked with us. He was there when we arrived and again the next morning and the whole time had a smile on his face and was beyond helpful going the extra mile. This is a good place to stay if you are choosing to come to Birmingham.

The property was nice, when you first enter the lobby it has a nice refreshing scent, it was close to my event, the room was very nice and clean.

To be honest my stay was ok! On Saturday as I was sleeping the fire alarm went off and woke me up I almost fell out the bed! I got dressed and had take the steps, the fire department silenced the alarm, and I had to walk back at five flights of steps, almost having an asthma attack. On Sunday I spoke with the front desk clerk Jay and told him I situation about my plane leaving late and I asked if I could stay at least until 2 o’clock. He told me yes and reassured me that it will be OK that he will talk with the owners. The next morning, I went to the front desk and spoke with a young lady whom I’m thinking is the manager and I explained my situation to her about being inconvenienced on Saturday night as I was sleeping and asked if I could get a late check out around 2 PM. She told me no and never apologize for what happened on Saturday night. I asked her well why would your front desk clerk Jay tell me that I could stay until at least 330 and that it will be OK I brought him dinner and again he reassured me that it will be OK she goes to try and call him but still standing firm on. It’s a no late check out is at 12 PM. So again my hotel stay probably would’ve been excellent but with the fire alarm and the lies from the front desk clerk JaybI had a horrible day. Also, I wanna add that every time I heated up my food in the microwave, the microwave, the lamp on the desk and the refrigerator all will go out and I had to keep flipping the switch behind the desk to continue to hea

I was allow to park right in the front of the door - handicap parking too much noise last night there at midnight
