Lamphouse 基地營(Lamphouse by Basecamp)

Room did not smell clean had a musty odor, the electrical water kettle had water still in it and the bottom of the kettle had mold. The loghts kept blinking Was very disappointed in this place

Convenient. Well located. Heating system is very noise due to pipes rumbling. Some rooms feel cavernous. You will receive tens of messages reminding you to leave on check out day. Very annoying messages to your phone. Zero flexibility with checking in before 4 or out after 11. I got the message: leave.

The place was nice. Check in was automated so we never spoke with staff. To see the “mountain view” you had to stand at the window as you couldn’t see it from the chair or bed. Was still a nice view. Was close to Main Street so we didn’t have to find parking to walk around which was convenient. Hot tub is large but not deep so shoulders are exposed but it’s outdoors which is a plus.

The location was good. Downfall on a non refundable room and finding out there was construction going one beside the room, finding out the day before travel that this was the case. Arrived and the construction garbage bin was placed right outside the window. Hot tub area was pure ice around the deck of the tub, two of the heated rubber mats were working the other two were covered in ice making it very slippery. Receiving a reminder text about check out time around 8 am on a Sunday morning is not on with me.

Love this property as it is walking distance from everything in Canmore. Very clean. Staff was very friendly and offered a last minute room location change we requested. We’ve stayed in the past and have enjoyed the early morning muffins but did not find them offered this time. Still wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again 😊❤️. The mountains are our happy place

The property is steps away from downtown Canmore with easily accessible parking. The rooms have been renovated and are clean and nicely furnished. If you are visiting in the winter months make sure to pack warm socks as the room was quite chilly! I would definitely go back.

We've stayed here many times, mostly before the renovations and the universal increase in accommodation prices. In the past we hung "Do Not Disturb" on our door for the duration - usually 2 nights - and kept the room tidy ourselves. This continues now as there apparently is no servicing of the rooms by staff. This may have been part of our booking. Carpet in our room could use a wash. The only thing I didn't like was providing a copy of my DL beforehand via secure link
