卡斯塔威島度假村(Castaway Island Fiji)

There are plenty of stunning places to stay in Fiji, but none have a staff like Castaway island. Every person is kind, warm, and eager to provide you with exceptional service. The island is beautifully kept up, there are plenty of activities included with your stay, and the food is great, but SERVICE is what they do best. I literally cried my way off the island because I didn’t want to leave the new friends I had made. Thank you to Emori for always going above and beyond, Namnit for brightening everyone’s day at the buffet, and Amini and Waqa for keeping us entertained with their beautiful music. Cannot wait to go back!

Quel endroit paradisiaque ! Un voyage inoubliable ! Entre les activités de snorkeling, plongée sous-marine, ballade, tennis, massages et j’en passe… Une piscine réservée aux adultes avec un barman aux petits soins ! Dave le roi des cocktails ! Je vous conseil le « Don’t Waste » et le « Covid 19 » qu’il nous à spécialement confectionné ! Toute l’équipe du resort est aux petits soins. Toujours un petit mot gentil. Toujours très attentionnés. Un énorme merci à tous ! Vous êtes formidables et avez contribué à cette semaine de vacances inoubliable ! Côté nourriture, les buffets sont vraiment réussis. Du petit déjeuner au dîner, tout était excellent et diversifié. Merci au chef avec qui nous avons discuté et qui nous a régalé pendant tout notre séjour. Nous avons passé une semaine de rêve dans un endroit paradisiaque et il nous tarde de revenir ! Bravo et encore merci !

The resort and beach are beautiful. We were the only people arriving on the boat and were received with music and singers. Just lovely. Our Island bure 65 was the one before the last so we had to walk a bit to get to main areas. Bure was beautiful and comfortable but pillows were all too soft no other options were provided. We had just visited intercontinental and shangri la and all their pillows were the same. Our aircon got broken on the 31st of Dec and had to go to reception 4 times to get it fixed. We noticed they did not fix it but changed the whole device. The next day we were provided with a fruit platter and wine. There was no note so I imagine it was because issue with air-conditioning. Food is good and you can choose from buffet, menu or visit the Cafe at the Pool or the pizza place upstairs. I requested a fresh lemonade but was told they did not make drinks with fresh fruit. This was very disappointing. We stayed over new years and attended NYE party. It was on the beach, with a lovely setting, food stalls with plenty of options including lobster, rib eyed steak and much more. They had a big stage and great ligthing. The band was OK but took too long between songs and no DJ was provided to cover them while on a break. I had read lots of reviews from other islands celebrating New Year with fireworks and was disappointing Castaway did not provide them. Castaway has stunning beach and lovely sunsets. We were able to get a table next tp the water in the main restaurant a couple of times but you need to book in advanced. On the night we arrived we visited the restaurant and asked for a table next to the water but were told it was not possible. We noticed there were tables available and no one used them for the rest of the night and the staff never offered them to us. Castaway offers free kids club and activities look great. Our boys enjoyed their time there especially with Micky! Boys wanted to be at the pool for big part of the day so they did not attend kids club most days. They, however, always waited for the kids at the kids club who arrived at the pool later in the day with the facilitators. Facilitators were usually fine for my kids to join in at the pool but there was a time that facilitators did not seem very keen on having to play with more kids than the few they had at the club that day. My kids told me the facilitators were not the friendly ones and I had seen them previously leading the surprise games for adults at the restaurant. I would recommend to allocate facilitators that are happy to play with kids. On this particular day facilitators (who were not the usual ones) did not look very keen to look after many kids. Many staff were very welcoming and just lovely but a few seem on the edge. Castaway provides lots of equipment for snorkelling kayaking, stand up paddle and you can also book tours.
