Highly recommend, this hotel is very clean.. breakfast was included and the pool ontop of the roof was pretty small but I used the public pool, the reception staff helped me whenever and gave me directions and information, it's very central and I would stay again. I have no complaints what so ever... only thing I can suggest is having air con which the fan wasn't the best but still didn't effect my stay. Very lovely hotel with lovely friendly staff. Went solo and room was really small but I didn't mind
Our rom was big and comfortable, but the door was broken - couldn't be closed :) even the staff came to repair it. Telephone on the room doesn't work - I informed in reception but this time staff didn't come to fix it. TV has no programe to see in english - even music, but this was not a problem on holidays.. ;) Bathroom veeeery old, but also big. View was nice - at the garden, swimming pool exceelent. Close to everywhere :) Breakfast standard, but ok. The worst thing was too noisy mornigns. Every day at 6 o'clock garbage truck came for rabish and... bottles... Terrible voice in the every early mornings. Hotel is rather old but for that price is ok.
The hotel is located on the centre of town, giving easy access everything you’d want to do while staying in Puerto de la Cruz. The hotel and rooms are incredibly clean, beds are very comfortable and there is a pillow menu if you want softer pillows. The bathroom is spacious, with Dove products provided. The only down side is the mixer taps in the shower are a bit iffy, so every 10-15 seconds you get a blast of hot water, followed by a blast of cold!! We booked a room with a balcony, which is at the front of the hotel. There is a bit of noise from the street, but nothing that kept us awake; if you’re a light sleeper, bring some ear plugs. The rooftop bar, sundeck, pool is really nice and gives great views of Mt Tiede and is great for watching the sunset. We didn’t have breakfast in the hotel, but there’s a fabulous coffee shop next to the hotel with gorgeous bagels and pastries and lots of other options within a few minutes walk. Would definitely stay here again!
My husband and I visited the Sol Costa Atlantis Hotel for a week in April 2024. We were very much looking forward to our stay at this particular hotel as having viewed it online, we thought it looked rather nice. Our arrival at the hotel was quite late due to having experienced a flight delay therefore, we were feeling quite tired, however, we found that the reception staff were not very welcoming or friendly, they just went through the process of getting us checked in, there was no ‘Welcome to our hotel, have you stayed with us before’, nothing of that nature, no welcome drink was offered. Once checked in, we went to our room which considering it was a 4* hotel, we were surprised at how basic the room was. We unpacked and tried to open the Safe to store our valuables. We were unable to open it so being tired, we decided to deal with everything the following morning. We were booked on a half board basis so, we got up the next morning to go for breakfast and both said how incredibly warm the room was and, because of the room temperature neither of us had slept well. We checked the air conditioning but were unable to deal with whatever the issue was. We then went for breakfast which, unfortunately, wasn’t great. We absolutely appreciate that with buffet food, due to it sitting, it can get cold quickly but, having said that, there were a lot of people staying at the hotel if the dining room was anything to go by which meant that the turnover of food from the buffet was quick so, I wouldn’t have expected the food to be as as cold as it was. Also, the toasters which were in the dining room, there just wasn’t enough of them and then, to make matters worse, when you put a slice of bread through the toaster you had to repeat the process 2 to 3 times as the bread wasn’t toasting!! Then we had the coffee machines of which you had to queue for a considerable length of time to get a coffee as again, for the amount of people, there weren’t enough coffee machines. After breakfast we went to reception to report the air conditioning issue. The chap with whom we spoke said he would get a maintenance person to fix whatever the issue was. We informed him we were out for the day so the technician could go into our room at any stage. We also asked about the Safe in our room to which the chap on reception advised that we would have to pay to use the safe. I was appalled to hear this saying to him ‘That’s daft, surely if there’s a safe in the room, it forms part of the room, it’s a bit like saying, there’s a wardrobe but you can’t hang your clothes in it until you pay to use it’. My view is if you’ve paid for a room, then you should have access to everything in that room especially the safe as it doesn’t cost the hotel any extra to allow guests access to the safe in their room!! After our day out, we came back to our room only to find that the air conditioning hadn’t been fixed much to our disappoin**ent and to make matters worse, when we reported it
Hotel is certainly not a 4 star as advertised, it is in need of a overhaul a total renovation, shower is like a caravan shower with the shower tray filling with water and not emptying, bad smell of sewage in bathroom Breakfast very basic and limited only went for one morning,. Air con was very noisy and not that cold, and my room was hotter than outside and that was after having the air con on for 3 hours Staff are friendly but think they have to be to compensate for lack of services. I went to bar and asked for a cup/mug for coffee and used my manners to be met with rude staff member who tried to make me say please again Beds comfortable but pillows are terrible, no holiday makers stayed at hotel during day and at most saw three couples around the pool, I complained and got flight home early, turnt up Wednesday 23rd October 10pm and was booked back on flight home on 26th ...... Very depressing and if I was going to travel to Puerto de la Cruz steer well clear of hotel
This is a nice, basic hotel with a lovely location. We stayed at room 202, which faced the Lago Martianez and the beach promenade. (and if you looked very closely, you saw the sea also). There was also a restaurant near the room, so the smells came inside very easily. The room was clean, but it had a stale smell and lots of humidity, that was not removed by the air conditioner. The balcony door had gaps so, the cold air and cigarette smoke came in. Unfortunately, we had a room neighbor smoking non-stop, so we couldn't use the balcony for anything. Beds were the most uncomfortable I've ever experienced, so definitely not a 4-star room. The hotel has bad soundproofing, so you will hear everything that happens on the same floor and the next. Pros of the room: big-sized and mild smelling shampoo, conditioner, body lotion etc. Also, an empty fridge for drinks etc. if you want to have some of your own. The pool area is very calm and one pool and jacuzzi heated. The pool area is not very sunny. The 10th floor sunroof has a few sunbeds, quite windy but nice views. It's not allowed to reserve sunbeds but approx. 50% of people still reserve them. The opening hours of sunroof and gym were not visible anywhere, sometimes the doors were closed in the middle of the day. Very varied breakfast. The breakfast room is very busy and noisy, and you cannot choose your own table. The tables are so close that the other customers and staff are constantly near you. Dinner is more crowded than breakfast, and they struggle to replenish the dishes. As a vegetarian, it some days felt frustrating, when you had to wait for the few warm vegetarian dishes to be replenished. Elderly people will cut in line and come very close to you, Also, hygiene is sometimes very poor because they were tasting the food with their hands and coughing to their hands and touching the scoops. The staff was doing absolutely everything to keep everything tidy and constantly measuring the temperatures of the food. The dinner is very meat based. I think there was a different theme every night, but we didn't always know what the theme was. Two times the server told us the theme, which was lovely. We were welcomed to this hotel with lovely customer service, and we enjoyed the service every day, by everyone from the staff, including the cleaning staff and servers in the restaurant. I know there's a negative note on my review, but we were pleased with our stay. But this is a solid three-star hotel, with renovation, they will get back to 4 stars. We are 40-year-old friends traveling together, and we think this hotel should not be advertised as a ”very popular for elderly people” as it was advertised to us. With all due respect, this hotel deserves more, and it deserves a more diverse customer base to develop.
Lovely clean hotel, large rooms, we had a sea view, which could be a little noisy as the family pool was below us, and shaded all day, ( we went in November) so if you want the sun on your balcony go for a mountain view room. We loved the gym, and facilities, the adult only pool was peaceful and well kept. Breakfast was excellent with the omelette station very tasty and friendly, plenty of fresh good quality food (we only had breakfast) overall a lovely hotel and we will definitely be back.
訪訪客Booked a full board and food was up to expectations. However do note that drinks (alcohol, soft drinks and even water) are charged separately even under full board. The bed in the room was adequate and had a great unobstructed view of the coast.

My boyfriend and I were on our first holiday together. We would be staying at Pez Azul for 11 days. We arrived on the 29th of July. Entering the hotel was nice. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. We quickly got to go to our room. When we got our first room, we were welcomed by a weird smell. We searched the room for an ashtray or something that could cause this smell. Eventually we opened the window, in hopes the smell would get better. We went to the city centre, which was like a 5 minute walk from the hotel. This was lovely. I noticed that when we got back from the city centre, my nose was stuffed, I had a persistent cough and experienced difficulty breathing. My boyfriend had the same symptoms the day after. Walking up the stairs became an inconvenience, where he ran out of breath easily. This is raised questions, as he is an athlete. However, the second night, my boyfriend took a shower. He noticed black mold on the ventilation shafts and on the ceiling in the bathroom. This immediately explained the smell in the room. We checked the rest of the room, where we also found spots of black mold. The black mold was everywhere in the bathroom and even above our bed. Of course we wanted to leave this room as soon as possible. We went to the reception and explained the situation. Staff helped us out immediately. That night we slept in an other room. Entering that room, the smell was better. We checked this room on black mold too. Turned out that in this room, the ventilation shafts contained black mold as well. It was a lot less compared to our old room, but since the black mold was in the ventilation shafts, this probably meant it was through out the whole hotel. The next morning we went to the reception again. We yet got another room. In this room, the assumption was confirmed again. We checked the room. The smell was very good, except the black mold was still in the ventilation shafts. We did see that the cleaners probably tried to clean the shafts, but it was still in there. The shafts are directly above the shower, so when you take a shower, it’s a matter of time when the mold grows back. Note that all three rooms were on different floors. Also note that the pictures we took, are over 3 rooms. Bottom line: the service was great. The staff really tried to help us and offer us a solution. However the problem is through out the whole hotel. This caused us to eventually switch to an Airbnb in the neighborhood. We did get a refund of the nights we didn’t use the hotel. We really hope the hotel owner is going to contact an experienced mold cleaning service as the situation now provokes serious health risks, especially to people with sensitive airways or conditions like asthma. It’s a pity that a hotel with such great staff and great location is practically impossible to enjoy purely because of this problem. Please fix this!
