天文台假日公寓(The Observatory Self Contained Apartments)

Unless you like staying in a microwave oven don’t stay here a newly installed mobile phone tower across the road ensures you have great mobile phone service but for period of your stay prolonged exposure to EMF.

We were greeted by a lovely lady on reception when we arrived. She asked why we were visiting and upgraded our room to a higher, spa suite when we told her it was our honeymoon. The room was brilliant, very spacious, modern and clean. The pool was a great addition and parking helpful. Location was brilliant, near to bars and beach and train station (if needed) We wish we had stayed longer here!

Had a couple of days here with family and grandchildren. Had a 1 bedroom on top floor for the 2 of us and the family had a 2 bedroom apartment. We were impressed, the whole place is very clean, tidy and comfortable, the outdoor settings near the bbqs are a great idea. The pool is clean with plenty of seating and shade sail. Location wise it is a short walk to the Jetty shops, including several bars and good cafes and restaurants. As well it is a short walk to the Marina which includes the breakwall for your morning walk, the fish co op and other restaurants and bars. As well access to Jetty and Park beaches. There are also some good parks with shelters, bbqs and kids playgrounds. Highly recommend this establishment.

Located right opposite the train station, and easy walk to shops, Pier Hotel, cafes, beach and Jetty. Couldn't be better location wise. Book direct and save 10% too. Unit was spacious with kitchen and living area. Mattress great, furnishings in great condition with balcony view of awesome sunrises over the water. Hot shower almost instantly. A long walk into centre of Coffs, about a $13 taxi fare, but there is a public bus service that runs every hour. Its faults though are, "a step over the side" bath tub/shower, with no handrail and a slippery bath surface with shower curtain. Awkward and risky for over 65's to get in and out of. Soundproofing is poor and neighbouring unit voices, footsteps, chairs being dragged etc being quite audible, which disturbed our sleep one night.

This was a last-minute booking, as I booked a different property originally, and realised they had no private bathroom facilities. I frantically looked to book an alternative property, seeing as I was travelling with my 11-year-old daughter, and stumbled across this little gem. As they say “beggars can’t be choosers”. Boy did I land an absolute gem. I booked in into a easy access Waterview 2 bedroom room, and The room is very spacious and extremely comfortable. The beds were like sleeping on a cloud. The room has absolutely everything, and you feel like you are still at home as it is very comfy and homey. I’m not sure if people stayed at the same property that I did, as I read a lot of reviews about hearing the neighbours talking or coughing or hearing the trains all night or the aeroplanes flying overhead. I did not he one person, heard maybe four trains over a three night stay and about half a dozen aeroplanes over the three days during the day. It is so sensual to all cafes and restaurants, and no more than a 10 minute drive from all the major attractions. Most of them Are less than 5 minutes away by car. My daughter absolutely loved this property, and said she wanted to live in it. I am so happy I made the mistake, and had to rebook at this property. Any time I visit Coffs, this is my go to place. Definitely recommend staying at this property

The property was excellent and the staff were always helpful and always approachable, the units were close to everything, we could see and hear the beach, it was close to the shops, close to public transport. We had our own on-site parking spot and everything inside the apartment to help us cook ourselves and more. We were VERY happy with this apartment and all the inclusions.

Overall good place to stay, clean and very close to dining options and the jetty.

Nice property with a view of the ocean from the balconies. Spacious living room, full kitchenware. Bed a bit saggy.

Very clean and comfortable and within easy walking distance of some great restaurants and cafes!
