We had a lacrosse tournament and this hotel was perfect! The room was nice and clean. The staff was friendly. Chuck the front manager was sooo nice! They have delicious breakfast every morning. Highly recommend this hotel! I booked through ******* and had a great experience. The same hotel was $100 more on Hilton!! Will only be using ******* from now on.

The worst hotel experience I've had. I was surprised, as my usual stays with Hampton/Hilton are very good. This location (Elkton) is an embarrassment to the chain. I booked a room days in advance and was given a room in the basement of the establishment (below ground), next to the pool and workout facilities. Stale water saturated the air. And the room itself had roaches in it, live and dead. Obviously the management knew about the problem as there were roach motels/baits in the corners of the room. When I asked for another room because of the bug issue, I was given a room that looked as though it hadn't been properly made up by the staff. Towels looked used and the bed had an imprint in the bedding and pillow from someone who'd taken a nap in it. I immediately checked out and landed in Aberdeen where the Hilton was what I expected. Elkton staff and management should be fired. They make the chain look bad. I will be contacting headquarters with my complaint.

The staff at this hotel are horrible. Someone came into our room WITHOUT KNOCKING saying “housekeeping”. We had the “still sleeping” sign on the door but he just unlocked the door and came in. We yelled “No!” And he left. No apology no nothing, just left. We called the front desk to complain and they did nothing. Alexis at the front desk called back and said our room was on the “checked out” list and keys were turned in. We asked to speak to the manager and were told she had a family emergency and couldn’t come to the property. When we were checking out, Alexis called the manager and told her we were checking out and wanted us to speak to her on her cell phone via speaker. We asked her to call our cell phone but she called the hotel phone instead. The manager was not helpful and just said she believed her staff and couldn’t do anything. Alexis then started yelling at us that we were racists. So, two older white people complained about something that happened and the black staff says WE are racists. I think THEY are racists. We just wanted an apology and acknowledgement that they made a mistake. Instead, we are now banned from the property for complaining.

In notes, asked for highest floor possible….. Got room 105. Supposedly no other rooms available. Walked from lobby and rooms numbered 200……Directed to elevator and 100 rooms in basement…….Luckily pool was empty or may have been worse than the trains passing behind our room. This Hampton Inn ain’t what it used to be when we 1st traveled North from Georgia!

Room was clean and tidy, as was the property overall. Staff was friendly and helpful. Very easy on/off from I-95, but hotel was removed enough that traffic noise was not a problem. Didn't make much use of amenities, but the shower was good and the bed was comfortable. No complaints with this place - I wish all the hotels I stay at could be this good!

Did not like being next to the exit, especially because the room door was not sealed properly. Did not like needing to ask for our linens to be changed. The coffee was horrible. No fruit for 4 days. Pillows were too small. Towels were too small. No fan in the bathroom.
