Thank you for a wonderful stay at your charming hotel. We arrived with reservations to an engleberg hotel in Germany! Yet the kind staff were able to accommodate us even though the hotel was very full. We enjoyed the use of the children’s playroom where our 2 year old granddaughter had lots of fun on one rainy afternoon. Our room was clean and spacious with a comfy bed and a delicious breakfast. We had to mail the room key back to them when we realized on the train to Murren that we had not returned it when we checked out! We are usually much better guests than that. I guess it was time to head home and stop traveling!

Delightful hotel where we spent 2 nights at the start of the Via Alpina trek. The proprietors are very welcoming and do everything possible to make your stay a pleasant one. Room was comfortable with an immaculate bathroom. Breakfast was plentiful with good variety and is taken in a large dining room. There is a bar with an outside balcony to sit on and enjoy watching the world go by. Unfortunately the hotel restaurant was closed Monday & Tuesday so we were unable to eat there. However this was an excellent place to stay at the start of our trek.

I booked this hotel as the price was good and reviews were very good. After staying for 5 nights I can honestly say the staff were exceptional. Nothing was too much for them and every single time you see them they always would smile and speak to you and see how you are doing. I cannot praise them enough especially the lady on reception (sorry I did not get your name). The room was extremely clean and although the decor was dated (which fit the theme for the hotel so not a complaint) you could see the cleaning was extremely good and always done daily. The beds were comfy but 1 small suggestion is the sofa bed to have a matress topper as it can be a little too firm in areas. The hotel is in a great location, shuttle bus nearby to titlis or brunni or even a very short walk to the local monastery. The only feedback I would give is the hallways at night got very dark and sometimes the lights would not illuminate the stairs or hall very well. I have to say during the stay though the staff corrected this but it took a few days. Breakfast was lovely small spread but very nice. Again staff were fantastic there and would always happily greet you Thank you to the team for our stay and for sure I would recommend and stay again

Good basic room in great location. Very good breakfast. The small single room was much bigger than I expected, with desk, wardrobe and enough space. Just what you need when you don't spend much time in your room. The room was basic (no decoration) but clean. Very friendly and helpfull staff.

Great staff. Clean room. Great breakfast. Great location. There’s nothing more to ask! I stayed for one night between two long hikes. The bed was very comfortable and the breakfast gave me tons of energy for the hike ahead. They have great little lunchboxes for hikers. Would 200% recommend this establishment and would come back anytime.
