特里桑頓酒店(Hotel Tresanton)

We came here for my husbands 70th Birthday and I have to say it was a very special stay in beautiful surroundings. When we arrived after a long journey we were met in reception with a warm welcome by the lovely Sue and another young receptionist whose name I unfortunately did not recall.....Very helpful when we needed ideas on places to visit. I cannot fault this hotel it had everything you could wish for apart from the weather!! As it was my husbands birthday we were given a complimentary bottle of champagne, totally unexpected but very welcome. Our room was beautifully and comfortable and it had the most beautiful view of the sea. St Mawes itself is a beautiful village with a lovely little boutique and coffee shops We stayed at the hotel for dinner for three nights and the food was excellent as too were the waiting staff especially Oscar who I feel deserves a mention. Thank you once again and we'll definitely be back!

Hotel is lovely and in a beautiful location. However pluming could do with being looked at. (Cold tap on bath didn't work and problems with toilet flushing at one point). The resturant was it has to be said a let down. The food was uninspired and rather tasteless. Its a shame because it has so much potential and when you're paying these sort of prices you expect better.

Expected so much more after years of watching the Hotel inspector on TV. Staff welcoming Food average and probably over priced Restaurant area lacked warmth and a bit outdated as well as filthy light fittings. Tried it but won’t be going back anytime soon

The service is just beautiful, an attentive, smart and incredibly polite team look after every need possible. Valet parking, water for the dog, plumping up pillows and so on.. the setting will simply knock your socks off. The food is delicious. Super fresh, clean tasting and beautifully crafted. A huge well done to everyone there. The hotel decor is so tasteful. Elegant, understated and gentle.

What a great hotel. Our room was immaculate with a sea view and nice and warm considering the weather! Lovely dinner and excellent breakfast. I cannot speak highly enough of the staff from the minute I called to make the booking to checking out. Especially Lydia and Dragos in the dog club. Will definitely return

I was debating between Tresanton and the Idle Rocks. Chose this because I loved the decor and the warm, friendly way Olga Polizzi describes it. It was the right choice for us. The wonderful friendly staff make everyone feel at home. The decor throughout is charming and personal, not the now ubiquitous modern luxury look. The views are outstanding and the location, a five minute walk from town, is great. This was our first trip to Cornwall and we visited several different areas. Saint Mawes and the Roseland Peninsula were favorite spots. We loved taking the King Harry Ferry over. Other recommendations nearby: dinner at The Watch House, St Just in Roseland Church, Trelissick Garden.

Outstanding service, open water view location and good quality room. Dinner food of wild bass was not flavorful but waiter aimed to please and suggested and brought some chimichurri sauce. Bartender was a pleasure to chat with and at end of meal brought me his choice of a digestif.

Staff are lovely and so is the food but…. We spent £500 a night and we’re kept awake most of the evening and night because of a wedding reception. I know hotels make a lot of money for weddings but to put us in a room underneath the restaurant where we can hear constantly all day chairs being moved and then the wedding is unacceptable… will never stay here again!

After staying for 4 nights in the Tresanton hotel I think it is about time for Olga to revisit it and see how it is in need of a serious upgrade My partner and I paid £2000 for a hotel which has some very serious plumbing issues We were in bedroom 3…charming but let down by the sub standard bathroom 1, there was black mould around the bath 2 The taps in the basin were impossible to turn on or off especially by a person of a later age 3 The hot water was far too hot in the bath and once again actually turning them on and off impossible and in my case very dangerous 4 I was in the bath and decided to add a little more hot water …. A near scolding for me I couldn’t turn off the hot tap as it is so old and only just dragged myself out of the bath otherwise would have been seriously burnt my partner managed to turn it off ( I am nearly 80} 5 the lavatory only flushed very occasionally One other problem was that they need to buy a new toaster because every day the toast was cold under toasted and arrived after the poached eggs This is not what I expected from one of your hotels and you are lucky I wasn’t seriously burnt I reported these problems when we checked out this morning .. it is not a five minute problem and the bathroom and fittings are dangerous and substandard for a room that costs nearly £400 a night On the plus side the staff and the food were excellent
