Wunderschönes Gästehaus mit luxuriös ausgestatteten Zimmern. Peter und sein Team sind exzellente Gastgeber jederzeit ansprechbar und zuvorkommend. Das Frühstück lässt keine Wünsche offen. Die Zimmer, das gesamte Haus und der Garten sind wunderschön und hochwertig ausgestattet. Das Gästehaus liegt nur wenige Minuten von der Wine Tram Station sowie des Ortskerns von Franschhoek entfernt. Bei unserer nächsten Südafrikareise werden wir wieder hier zu Gast sein.

Fabulous property set behind secure gates with onsite parking. Close to The Wine Tram and walking distance to Franschhoek. Lovely contemporary spacious bedroom with modern sculptures and beautiful pictures. Lovely comfortable bed with fluffy towels and nice toiletries. Breakfasts each morning were delicious which set us up for the rest of the day. Good, healthy choices of hot and cold selections. All made to order. Very friendly staff and very helpful host. Very relaxing and enjoyable stay. Highly Recommended.

What a fabulous experience this was. Stayed for 3 nights (wish it had been longer). On arrival we were quickly checked in and taken to our room which was available earlier than expected. We had come from somewhat cramped accommodation in Cape Town and the room was the exact opposite. Large, spacious, incorporating a comfortable king sized bed, a seating area with chair and three seater sofa, tea and coffee facilities, mini fridge, tv etc. Very clean and beautifully decorated with examples of African art on the walls. A power shower with his and hers sinks completed the room. A small patio outside with chairs to enjoy an evening aperitif completed the accommodation. Breakfast was cooked in front of you by the charming ladies who worked there and taken in a dining room which was immaculate. Food was delicious and beautifully presented with plenty of choice available. Gardens were absolutely lovely with a pool and comfortable loungers to sit out as we did one afternoon. The house is on the outskirts of the village but is easily walkable and ideally located for the wine tram which was about 10 mins away on foot. There are plenty of food and drink outlets within the vicinity of the property. The residence was situated in a quiet spot and we felt perfectly safe, entrance had electric gate to control access and a lockable side gate controlled access to the rooms. If I had one quibble i would have liked the bathroom to be sectioned off rather exposed to the room but this just my personal preference. A big thank you to Peter and the ladies who made our stay a truly enjoyable and memorable one. So pleased I found this place.

Das Viva la Vie ist ein sehr schönes, kleines Hotel, das perfekt gelegen ist, wenn man die Wine-Tram nutzen möchte. In nur 10 Minuten ist man zu Fuß an der Haltestelle. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön eingerichtet und groß. An manchen Stellen ist die Eineichtung ein bisschen in die Jahre gekommen. Einiges könnte ausgebessert werden. Es ist allerdings alles absolut vertretbar. Das Frühstück ist fantastisch und das ganze Team ist super freundlich und hilfsbereit. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt. Der Pool hätte ein kleines bisschen sauberer sein können, aber da wir eh nur einen Tag da waren, haben wir ihn ohnehin nicht viel genutzt. Wir können diese Unterkunft daher absolut weiterempfehlen.

All the rooms are different but all are good-sized. Our room has double bathroom sinks, a large shower, a chaise lounge in addition to two armchairs. Very comfy. The breakfasts are excellent! Their so-called mini-continental is big enough to fill up most people: fresh baked muffin, croissant, fresh fruit, cheeses& meats, yogurt, juice, coffee. But you can also add eggs Benedict, omelette, shashuska, French toast— all included! We were in the winter but I can see how nice it’d be to enjoy their pool and gardens in the summer. Highly recommend.
