I stayed here two nights, exploring the Prairie Spirit Trail and southeastern Kansas. I would stay here again. The rooms are in good shape, I slept well, noise was not a problem (though there are railroad tracks nearby). And the owner (Sunny?) was genuinely interested in making sure the stay was a good one. Every time I saw him, which was almost every time I went through the lobby, he'd be asking how things were.
The breakfast was much better than expected, with protein available in the form of yogurt and breakfast sandwiches (and maybe more that I didn't try), enough for an active day.
Sunny also let me leave my car there during the day after checkout while I rode the trail, which I appreciate - it's more convenient than driving to a trailhead for the sake of it. And you can also easily bicycle into town, or walk if you're okay with a bit of a longer walk. Toddy's Back Porch is also easy walking distance.
