Excellent reception staff..Fabulous dining room staff...Superb location and over all excellent accommodation and service.

An excellent stay once again at Ostan Loch Altan. Staff are really friendly and accommodating. Had requested an accessible room as I have mobility issues. Room 106 was perfect. Spacious and comfortable and very clean. Food excellent. Staff are a real asset to hotel and our praise goes to each one of them for their assistance during our stay. Have stayed before and will definitely will return. Am unable to see how to leave a review on hotels website but would love to be able to so as management can learn what an amazing team they have

We were returning guests, love this part of Donegal. Checked out of room 219 today, stayed for 3 nights on a groupon deal that was too good to pass up. Nothing has changed since our last visit, room very spacious with a sea view, staff lovely, all made an effort to say hello. The full Irish breakfast was definitely worthy of 5 stars. Had food in the main bar which was also good. Found it lovely and relaxing to sit in the foyer at night after dinner with a glass of wine. Lovely break away, would return again and would definitely recommend to others.

This hotel was a treasure as were all the staff ! Such a surprise to find this comfortable place with brilliant food , huge portions and a highly entertaining quiz night for charity . Ok the room plumbing was ready for take off , but made us laugh ! But really go here as the staff are so caring and can’t do enough for you

We had a week in Ireland stopping off in Belfast, Omagh and finally Gortahork for three days and we weren’t disappointed. This hotel was terrific value for money the food was outstanding both breakfast and dinner all well presented and enjoyable. I cannot praise the staff enough a beautiful bunch of people who were always friendly and couldn’t do enough for us and that was in all departments. The rooms were very clean but could do with an upgrade along with the plumbing however this would not stop us from returning loved this hotel and the surrounding country side.

Stayed for an overnight as was attending a wedding in the locality . Staff were very pleasant , courteous and helpful . Room was clean and comfortable but maybe could do with some refurbishment . Breakfast was lovely and served to your table very efficiently. Good location for a beautiful county.

We arrived on Friday 7th July for 3 nights , check in was great receptionist’s were all very pleasant and had great knowledge of the area and places to see. Bedroom very spacious comfortable and clean , plenty of toiletries provided, and good Wi-Fi reception. We dined in the hotel on Saturday night food was excellent good quality and very well presented. Waitresses and bar staff were all very pleasant & helpful. Food & alcohol very reasonable priced . Breakfast excellent and good choice of food to choose from cereals , fruit , yogurts and hot food etc. My wife and myself would definitely recommend Ostan Loch ALtan hotel for a break . We are looking forward to returning in the near future.

We stayed on New Year’s eve and were so disappointed. Firstly there was no heating in the bedroom when we arrived shortly before 5pm. The bedroom had wooden floors and it felt like there hadn’t been heat on in a few days. The central part of the hotel was lovely and toasty but as soon as we went into the corridor leading to the bedrooms - it was so so cold. We had been in Glenveagh all day and had gotten wet on the way back to the car. We were really looking forward to a hot shower and a warm room. To make matters worse, there was no hot water either. When we mentioned this to reception staff, they put the radiators on immediately- the heating controls are obviously controlled by reception. The room started to heat but we were still freezing. We went down to the bar for a meal at 6pm thinking the room will be warm when we came up again and we could have a nice shower before heading out to meet friends. When we came back to the room shortly after 7pm, the radiators were stone cold again and the room was freezing. We went to reception again, we were told there was a problem with the supply but as soon as we complained, the heating came on immediately!!!!! There was no hot water though and we had to go out for the evening without showering. In the morning, there was still no hot water and we had to leave your hotel without having a shower. On checkout, the person before me had exactly the same complaint and 50 euro was deducted from their bill. I mentioned all of this to the young girl when we checked out but as we had pre-payed, there was nothing she could do. I told her that we really had a miserable stay, all she could do was apologise. We left very very disappointed and really feel that we could have got better value elsewhere. The bar food was just ok too!! On the plus side, the waiting/bar staff were super. All in all, such a miserable way to begin 2024.

Top class hospitality highly recommended Hotel. Checked out this morning after five lovely nights. Breakfast is fantastic, and I think John makes it and serves a lovely man. Scenic and within East reach of a supermarket. Top class food. Food is exceptional.
