希克杜沃裏夫酒店(Riff Hikkaduwa)

We had an excellent three-night stay at Riff Hikkaduwa. The staff were very attentive and always greeted us with a smile. The food was exceptional, with a wide variety of options to suit all culinary tastes. The rooftop bar and, in particular, the Japanese restaurant are a feather in the hotel’s cap.

I’m don’t usually go full Karen-mode, but I’ve had two bad experiences at Riff Hikkaduwa in a span of 5 days, so I wanted to share my experience with others. The first time when me and my husband went to Riff, I was served raw chicken. They first said it’ll take 10 minutes to re-do the dish, and after the 10 minutes had passed, they suddenly said it’ll take another 15 minutes. We had only planned an hour for our lunch, so we had to leave and I had to be hungry for the rest of the day. We tried our luck again, the second time we went to the Japanese rooftop restaurant. When we first went up, we were seated at the bar “while they fix a table for us”. We sat there for 10 minutes, without seeing any progress with our table, while there were at least 2 empty tables where we could’ve easily been seated to. Also there were groups of people coming in who got a table and service before us, even though we were there first. When we finally got seated and served the food, it was very good. “Worth the wait,” we thought. In reality, we were hit again with a long waiting time for dessert which took them 50 minutes to bring out. The servers had little to none attention to us, we had to be the ones who made ourselves seen. Safe to say I’m incredibly dissapointed. I had super high hopes for this hotel as it looks absolutely stunning, but we gave it a chance twice, and it failed us both times.

Прекрасный отель, удобные кровати и подушки, хороший сервис. Вид на океан- бесподобен! Отель очень красивый, стильный, чистый. Работник пляжа заслуживает отдельной похвалы - лучший сотрудник отеля! На пляже волны, но если пройтись налево до дальних камней - там прекрасная бухта, без волн и с хорошим входом. Еда в отеле вкусная. Но большой минус- оооочень долгое ожидание блюд во время завтраков и ужинов) тратили по 1,5 часа на каждый прием пищи)) И еще один минус - ужасно неудобная шторка в ванной, каждый раз при походе в туалет надо проделать комплекс упражнений по закрытию двери и опусканию этой шторки ) сильно утомляло. Но конечно эти минусы не повлияли на наше впечатление от отеля, мы много посмотрели отелей в хиккадуве, этот - бесспорно лучший!

Stayed at Riff for 7 nights . I love it at first sight . Very stylish and modern , open space type of lobby . Steps away from the beach , friendly staff , great pool , awesome food . A small gym but equally cozy , a wonderful library , great rooftop bar , 2 restaurants on site . The rooms are so nice and well managed , 2 times a day cleaning , balcony , air con , pluses on everything . Perfect retreat and downshift from a fast paced life in a big city . Perfect stay

Amazing property! The staff were so attentive and delivered such high customer service, all facilities, a La carte breaktast, pool and beach stunning. We stayed here for 3 nights to relax after a busy week touring around Sri Lanka. This property is minimalistic yet elegant. We all loved it. Will definitely be back and recommend.

Пожалуй один из немногих отелей, который реально заслуживает 5 звезд. Любая просьба выполнялась максимально быстро. Сотрудники не отходили от нас и всегда готовы были помочь. На крыше очень вкусный ресторан с отличным видом. В номерах чисто, уборка каждый день! Спасибо команде отеля за отличный отдых!

The most amazing week at Riff, Hikkaduwa! If you are looking for the perfect get away to enjoy the beautiful Sri Lankan coastline, then make sure to book in at Riff Hikkaduwa. The bright and airy lobby welcomes you to the hotel, with views of the infinity pool and ocean greeting you as you arrive. A nice fresh fruit juice was given to us as we checked in, before being shown to our rooms. The focus on sustainability and natural feel is evident throughout the hotel. With lots of natural light and soothing decor. The rooms are large and spacious and well stocked with all the amenities that you require. Laundry prices are very reasonable and our room attendants did a fantastic job at keeping our room clean and tidy during the stay. Throughout the stay we were welcomed by the amazing staff, Bashiyna was one of the ladies who was our waitress throughout and her beautiful smile and warm personality made our breakfasts, lunches or dinner a delight. The menu offers a selection of Western and local dishes giving plenty of options to try. The Japanese restaurant on the roof top provides high quality dishes for all tastes! The staff on reception were very help in arranging a few tours for us, one to Galle and one to Udawalawe National Park. Both drivers were very kind and a wealth of information about what we were seeing and explaining local traditions and cultures to us. They also arranged our return journey to the airport in Colombo. The hotel is on the beach, meaning that you can easily go for walks down the beach to surf or visit Turtle Beach. As we were statying over New Year, we were lucky to be part of the NYE celebrations at the hotel. The hotel provided an amazing evening, with a extensive buffet, drinks, music and traditional dances. All the staff worked so hard to pull off the evening, and we are grateful for their efforts. Every member of staff, from the owner, general manager, waiters/ waitresses etc were incredibly friendly and welcoming. We left feeling like friends! The hotel had a mixture of families and couples staying, making it the perfect get away for everyone. We left feeling relaxed and rejuvenated, We will definitely be returning to this incredible hotel

Отличное расположение , приятная атмосфера . Хорошая кухня , повара каждый день радовали новыми блюдами . Номера новые с хорошим дизайном . Радушный ,отзывчивый персонал . В конце поезди приятно удивили , не большим презентом . Всем рекомендую этот отель .

Beautiful designed hotel with great amenities. Upon arrival, we received a delicious cup of Chai. Room we're spacious and clean. Every room has an ocean view with a balcony. The assor**ent of chocolates (made in-house) was a great touch. Food was delicious all made in house including their butter, jam, bread etc.. Love the infinity pool( temperature controlled) A nice 20 minutes along the beach to get to more restaurants.
