There is a large carpark which guests can park for free. The property has an elevator but from the carpark there’s a flight of stairs. We arrived early but the room was ready. That room was spacious and I believe was designed for older folks and the handicapped. The bathroom had no barrier and even had a fold down seat. The room was clean and even the sofa bed was comfortable. However there was no kettle, coffee nor tea and no fridge. The restaurant served good food although there was just a limited choice. The service was slow though with just a couple of staff. I waited so long for dessert that I decided to cancel the order as I was sleepy. Wifi was patchy. The property was just facing the start of the trail to Bastei Bridge. Breakfast has variety and good. Overall we enjoyed the stay.

The hotel is in the center of Rathen and just across the path to the famous Bastei bridge. We got a very comfortable room with lots of space and a comfortable bed. The restaurant in the hotel was good because of the rain. And the food was delicious as well. Same goes for the breakfast.

A lit candle in a lantern was at the entry to the hotel. We had a balcony that overlooked the green forest.

A fairly tale village. It’s right on the path to the national park, which is only minutes away. Great hiking, great scenery, very nice people. A spectacular spa. This place has a very welcoming/calming a**osphere. It was better than we expected, it was absolutely beautiful. We had a balcony with a view of the little village and it was truly magical. Definitely would book again.

Great location close to the walk to the Bastei. Comfortable room. Good breakfast. Beautiful town

We stayed here for one night. Friendly welcome by the receptionist. We had room 205. No balcony but quite spacious. My husband felt the room was a bit dark and damp. I found it OK, but it did face north, so it was not the brightest room. The shower was good but with very thin/cheap towels. Breakfast was very good. The main hiking paths (including the one to Bastei) are right opposite the hotel.
