Lets go to the good thing about this hotel, no bedbugs, seriously that was the good thing. When we walked in the staff person was using a regular house vacuum to vacuum the lobby, this is obviously not going to do a deep clean like a hotel needs. The hot tub/sauna area was broken and this was not listed on the website. The whole hotel smells like cigarette smoke even though Michigan law changed in 2010 to not allow smoking inside. This means the hotel has not been deep cleaned in that long if not longer. The guest laundry facilities are also broken and according to other reviews have been broken for years, although they still list it as an amenity for the hotel. For breakfast, there was no juice in the juice machine. The only things they had were coffee, 2 kinds of cereals, bread, and bagels, there was also no fruit or anything else. There is also a distinct lack of plug ins in the room and there was even a lamp just sitting there not plugged in. I really feel sorry for the staff here, as they were trying and this hotel is just crappy.
