How this hotel had such a high rating is beyond me! It was filthy and very shabby. It was clearly grand and beautiful once upon a time and has lots of potential to be fabulous but would need a deep clean and extensive refurbishment. It was so bad that we spotted rats running across the dining room and reception area. The staff did try to make the best of it but my advice is to avoid this place.
