My daughter and I went volcano boarding with via via . We had a great time. The guides were awesome, helpful and super fun. Definitely bring the 2+ liters of water as recommended by via via. We went at midday and appreciated the porter who carried our boards for $5.

We stayed there for 2 nights, great service with the free beach shuttle and the volcano boarding with Jared is must! Great experience from the hike, to the boarding and the diner with the local family. The party bus was 10/10. We really enjoyed ourselfs! The infrastructure of the hostel is very good, you have your own space in a 9 bedroom dorm and everything is clean. Stuff is very friendly.

My boyfriend and I took the volcano boarding trip, and we would have to say this is one of the coolest experiences we have ever had! I would definitely recommend this tour to anyone who is in Leon and likes adventure!

Amazing hostel, the volcano trip was my favourite day out of the 4 weeks we have been here, Bryan was soooo helpful and amazing! Really made us feel at home, would definitely stay here again and would recommend it to everyone.

Bigfoot is the best hostel in Nicaragua! The people are great, the drinks are cheap and the music is fab. If you do one thing on your trip to Central America, make sure you stay at Bigfoot Hostel…you won’t regret it!

A very fun hostel atmosphere, great location and the volcano boarding tour is a fantastic thing to do! My dorm had air conditioning which was needed in the Nicaraguan heat. Overall a great stay so far!
