馬爾堡賓館(The Marlborough)

Lovely room but rather odd to have 1 bathrobe and 1 coffee capsule between 2 of us! (Double room clearly booked for 2). I won the fight. Finding staff at breakfast took some effort, but the food was fine when it arrived

booked here for one night for family reunion and dinner.received an immediate room upgrade.for such an old quaint hostelry, was very pleasantly surprised at the lovely up to date bedroom. and modern bathroom. plus extras ie toiletries ,the dinner was superb, and what can i say about the breakfast,it was on par with any i have enjoyed.we could not find better value anywhere, my wife and i travel a lot. WE WILL BE BACK.as arny says.

A real shame. I went with my disabled mother and wider family as this was one of her favourite places to eat in Marlborough. We had an early booking of 12.45 with all the family coming from far and wide to be with our mum as she has been so ill recently. So it was a real celebration to be there together. At no point were we told there was a table after us (they should have told us) We stayed for just over two hours there and could hear the manager comments “some people just don’t know when to leave” and other such remarks. It made the whole experience very uncomfortable and unpleasant. We didn’t know we were on a time scale and the whole meal felt like they were trying to push us which when it’s a family reunion and a special occasion and spending quite a bit of money you would think being in hospitality you would do your best to make people feel welcome. We go there at least five times a year as a large group and spend an arm and a leg in there over the year, so I am glad they are so busy they no longer need our custom because they won’t be getting it anymore.

The little. Town of Marlborough is busy and charming. We had a lovely time and enjoyed staying the the Marlborough pub. Food was fantastic without being pretentious. I will definitely go back there.

We stayed here for one night in November. We enjoyed a drink in the bar with local deaf Rugby star Luke T. and chatted for ages about rugby! The staff were absolutely brilliant, even lent us a phone charger. Breakfast was excellent. The Library Room is beautiful - wonderful shower. Only bugbear is the parking but it's an old building and there isn't much room. We loved our stay here - just a pity the restaurant was not open because we would certainly have stayed for dinner.

Nice place to visit , didn't feel very welcoming. Staff were very nice but I wouldn't recommend eating here . It sounded great on paper , on plate was a totally different experience. Would visit if passing , for a drink , but not to eat . Sorry

Stayed one night at the Marlborough with friends. We had the Marlborough room which was spacious and very comfortable. Great en-suite bathroom and four poster bed added to the feel good factor. All the staff were friendly, courteous and efficient. We ate in the restaurant and we were all impressed with our meals in terms of quality and cost. Our room was above the bar and as a result you get a bit of noise but nothing that was off putting. If you’re looking for a comfortable, good value establishment in Marlborough we’d recommend the Marlborough

We stayed in The Library Suite…..not a suite, but there was a seating area just outside our room! Room is at the front of the establishment but not too noisy to sleep. Large, comfy bed. Good coffee machine, beverages and snacks. A good bathroom with an excellent, power shower. Old building, so wobbly floors add to the ambiance. We had an excellent evening meal…..man went for fillet steak that was superb. We ate outside, great a**osphere and service. Breakfast is served over a good amount of time and again was excellent…..Would return and recommend!
