Nice and well maintained hotel. The location is quiet but still convenient for exploring the old town. The balcony had a great view.

Έμεινα , δυστυχώς μόνο για ένα βράδυ. Ήταν όλα εξαιρετικά. Ωραία θέα, μοντέρνα διακόσμηση, φιλικό προσωπικό. Το πάρκινγκ εύκολο και και άνετο λίγα μέτρα πιο πάνω ή δε πρόσβαση στο κέντρο της πόλης εύκολη πάρα τα λίγα σκαλιά. Το επέλεξα αρχικά λόγω του ότι δεχόταν pets αλλά θα το επέλεγα ξανά και χωρίς τον σκύλο μου

Ψάχναμε για ξενοδοχείο στην ευρύτερη περιοχή γιατί είχαμε κλείσει εισιτήρια για την Επίδαυρο. Το μόνο ξενοδοχεία της κατηγορίας των 4* και 5* που διέθετε δωμάτια ένα μήνα πριν την παράσταση ήταν το Amfitriti. Όταν το επισκεφθήκαμε κατάλαβα το γιατί. Κατ' αρχήν, είναι δύσκολο να φτάσεις ως το ξενοδοχείο και ειδικά αν έχεις βαλίτσα λόγω απουσίας σήμανσης (χρειάστηκε να τηλεφωνήσουμε δύο φορές γιατί η κοπέλα που ήταν στη ρεσεψιόν θεωρούσε ότι έπρεπε να το βρούμε μόνοι μας) αλλά και λόγω του ότι η πρόσβαση γίνεται αποκλειστικά από ένα πλακόστρωτο δρόμο (όπου οι ρόδες της βαλίτσας είναι αδύνατο να τσουλήσουν). Και σα να μην έφτανε η δύσκολη κάθοδος από το χώρο στάθμευσης ως το ξενοδοχείο, όταν φτάσαμε στη ρεσεψιόν και κάναμε το check in έπρεπε να κατεβάσουμε τις βαλίτσες άλλους δύο ορόφους κάτω από μια στενή ξύλινη σκάλα για να φτάσουμε στο δωμάτιο. Εκτός αυτού του γεγονότος, εμπειρία επίσης ήταν το πρωϊνό. Μια τοστιέρα και μια στενή λωρίδα ελεύθερη μπροστά από τον μπουφέ με τα εδέσματα προκαλούσαν συμφόρηση στην ελαχίστων διαστάσεων "σάλα" του πρωϊνού. Όσο για τον καφέ, ή γαλλικό δωρεάν ή εσπρέσσο με χρέωση. Δεν είναι το κόστος αλλά η συμπεριφορά επαγγελματιών του τουρισμού να σου χρεώνουν την κάψουλα του Nespresso €2,50 όταν σε υποβάλλουν σε αυτή τη ταλαιπωρία για να πάρεις μια φέτα ψωμί με λίγο τυρί. Για την ανάβαση με τις βαλίτσες από το δωμάτιο ως την ρεσεψιόν και από εκεί ως το χώρο σταθμευσης δεν είναι απαραίτητο νομίζω να γράψω κάτι παραπάνω. Σίγουρα δε θα ξαναπάω και δε θα συστήσω το συγκεκριμένο ξενοδοχείο σε φίλους.

BUYER BEWARE! This is not a safe place to visit. We are very active people with no mobility issues but negotiating the long winded treacherous path and steps to reach the hotel, on foot with a suitcase, was a nightmare. We booked directly with the hotel but neither their website or booking confirmation warns about this problem and must be updated to warn other non-suspecting visitors. How this hotel has a licence with such unsafe access is beyond understanding. The rooms are basic and the bathroom has black mould. A luxury hotel, this place is absolutely not!

The first big challenge is getting here. Google maps actually directed us to where to park correctly! Then we missed the sign and drove around Napflio... tempers got frayed. But we eventually found it, were met very warmly, and led to a very pretty room with a great view of the harbor. The a/c works great and a wonderful spa tub was just the ticket. A nice light breakfast is offered. Would recommend - just trust Google and go *down* from where it tells you, not up!

We had a very nice time at this hotel. The staff were all very friendly and helpful. They were able to answer any questions that we had and provided very good recommendations for restaurants and things to do. There was also other chairs in the room so we did not have to sit on the bed anytime we were in the room. The hotel is close to the old town and has a fantastic view. That being said, the hotel is difficult to get to. You have to be in decent physical condition to manage all of the stairs and possible slippery cobblestones. If you have any mobility and/or balance concerns or a particular hatred of stairs, this might not be the hotel for you.

Hôtel placé sur les hauts de la ville, terrasse magnifique pour l'excellent petit déjeuner avec vue sur tout le golfe, très belle chambre avec terrasse et grande salle de bain. Possibilité de se parquer juste en-dessus, proche d'une très belle plage accessible a pieds en 3 minutes. Merci pour l'accueil et le superbe service.

Όταν εξαφανίζονται από τη βαλίτσα σου 250€, όλα τα υπόλοιπα ωχριούν. Είναι απαράδεκτο για ένα ξενοδοχείο να μην διαθέτει χρηματοκιβώτιο και να εξαναγκάζονται οι πελάτες να αναζητούν τρόπους που χαρακτηρίζουν άλλες εποχές προκειμένου να διασφαλίσουν τα χρήματά τους!

Si vous voulez petit-déjeuner à Nauplie, un endroit s’impose. La terrasse de l’Amfitriti Palazzo. Le yaourt grec parsemé de noisettes et de cranberries enrobé de miel vous ravira. Bien que difficile d’accès ( déconseillé aux personnes à mobilité réduite) cet hôtel est un enchantement. Situation, personnel, propreté rien à redire. Un bon souvenir

Surely a nice little hotel with superbe view above Nauplie . I noted average for two aspects: one is the breakfast, although this is on a very nice terasse outside, the selection is very limited and there is almost no room for the buffet for more than one person. A second and this is the biggest hurdle is you will have to carry your luggage’s yourself though several stairs, not convenient at all. So all good for athletes….

Going to provide a balanced review. Two important words of caution and some good attributes. First, the hotel is VERY hard to find! Look at their website to find directions. Parking is quite a ways away and the path to walk to the hotel is not easy and there are no signs. Don’t bring a big suitcase! Be prepared for lots of steps in the hotel (no elevator). Second, avoid Sundays if at all possible!!The town is crazy with tour buses from Athens. You can’t even find a place to be seated for lunch. We walked out of two different places after lengthy waits to be served, we finally just skipped lunch and left town. On the plus side. The room was very clean. The staff was very friendly in the hotel was very quiet. There was a lovely breakfast and patio.

I feel compelled to respond to the 18 July response by management to the very accurate review of 10 July. Your insinuation of improper behaviour can only be a reference to us verbally expressing our disappointment (is that not allowed?) to you about the issues referred to in the review of 10 July, nothing else, and such a false insinuation should be immediately withdrawn. And on arrival we never expressed “liking the place and the view”(another false statement). Here is our experience: Before arrival our taxi man rang ahead to the hotel and we were greeted where the road basically ended by a girl from the hotel. In fairness she was pleasant. She led us up and down a series of steps, quite treacherous and slippy, and where in between there was a path,it was broken in parts. It was all very tricky, particularly carrying cases. To the hotel itself, our room was hugely disappointing. Very dated decor, net curtains badly in need of a wash, and worst of all, the bathroom. A shower head that attached to nothing, but rather hung loosely on a hose; a shower curtain (yes a curtain, so not properly enclosed) that was very grubby at the bottom, and mould very evident on it and on the walls, quite simply, horrible. The air conditioning in the bedroom worked but was very noisy. The breakfast is decent. But this is overshadowed by the above, and the following: To walk into town you walked down very steep, in many cases uneven, broken, and slippy steps which were very poorly lit when it got dark. So when we approached reception to express our concerns we were told by another girl, again pleasant it should be said, that yes, a previous guest had pointed out that the shower head didn’t hang anywhere but that “someone would put something in the wall for it to hang from, tomorrow.” Later on in the evening we were told this actually wouldn’t happen. We were also told that the hotel is located in a very old part of town and that the only way up and down was the steps. Agreed. And that it was difficult to negotiate. But we pointed out that nowhere on the hotel’s official website (which we booked directly through) did it say this. We were told it did. But we rechecked and took screenshots of same. It clearly doesn’t. And we were also told that in the confirmation email there was a link with directions to the hotel which stated that the steps might not be suitable for people with mobility issues. So we retrieved the confirmation email. No such link, directions, or advice existed. Please bear in mind that we are physically fit, with absolutely no mobility issues. But we have serious health and safety concerns in relation to the only way into and out of the town centre from the hotel itself. Broken ankles or hips etc., for some poor unfortunate are only a matter of time. And on asking could we be relocated to any other hotel we were told “I’ll check with my manager”(a manager we never got to see). Only to be told later, it’s not possible. Hotel was fine, breakfast was good, adequate. The staff were super friendly and helpful, gave us suggestions for restaurants and t ride to be helpful whenever they could. Everyone was very kind and outgoing in this way. The bed was comfortable. The view from little balcony outstanding! Lovely town. The decor is “trendy” in their description, but I found some of it dark. The mirror was split into 2, the top half - where you were actually reflected a gray. Dark tiled bathroom, which was a lacking in space to put down toiletry cases etc for 2 persons, vey limited space to put towels and hard to reach from the sink, no hooks on doors etc. seemed like more could be done. Access is as others have also described, limited by foot from a higher parking area. Requires wheeling your back down and then carrying down stairs that are old stairs and a bit more wheeling on a flatter lane. Then reverse this to leave. No offers of help with the bags as I have encountered in other hilly towns. To access town, they have you proceed down 2 flights inside the hotel before walking down to Nafplio town streets, and reverse to come back. The walk in and out of town was not very difficult, however, I found we were planning more carefully about whether we would return to the hotel during the day, etc.

Lovely hotel, super nice staff, good breakfast with freshly pressed orange juice (divine!), excellent bedding, clean, splendid view over the old town and the port, we were given good advice re. things to do, restaurants etc by the lady at the reception desk, quiet and peaceful... in short, we highly recommend this very well located hotel!
