Very good place to stay. Rooms clean and all the necessary services. Staff and service very good and attentive and it’s located in a beautiful place like the concejo de Onis. You can go around and enjoying a Covadonga visit. Good buffet for breakfast and dinner. Don’t go for the swimming pool, it’s small but you don’t really need it in the place. I strongly recommend it for families and visits around.

To start the road up to the hotel is a bit gnarly if you follow a Sat nav but there is an alternative which is a bit easier. The secure underground parking is a massive bonus with direct access to the rooms. Check in was so easy with broken Spanish and Google translate with exceptionally friendly staff. The room on entrance was spotlessly clean with the air con running so it was already at a comfortable temperature. The room was well appointed with a fridge and hair dryer and plenty of storage. There was plenty of space around the pool with no need for the crack of dawn sun bed dash. The breakfast was a normal fair of cooked and pastries, nothing special but more than adequate however the evening meal was the same every night and quite expensive for what it was. This may be an issue if you don’t have transport away from the hotel. The position of the hotel is quite remote so it would be a mission to walk to an alternative restaurant. The views from the hotel are stunning from the outside lounge area and if you are lucky enough to have a balcony room. So the upshot of the review is great hotel, excellent friendly staff, beautiful location spotlessly clean. The only downside is the evening meal options but if you have transport this is a non issue as there are plenty of alternatives available. So, would we recommend this hotel, absolutely and can’t wait to visit again

Viernes 24 de noviembre en cafetería sobre las 6 de la tarde. 3 camareros. 3 mesas ocupadas. Pedimos dos cafés y un croissant y nos dicen que no llevan a la mesa. Nos sentamos y desde la barra nos avisan de los dos cafés. Nos levantamos a por ellos. Se olvidan del croissant ... Nos volvemos a levantar por él. Bastante oscuro, ya anochecía. Si quiero pagar desde la mesa ¿irían? Entiendo que si poco personal y lleno no atiendan pero no que los tres desocupados te observen desde la barra. Llevo 35 años viniendo en estas fechas a Covadonga y no recuerdo ese servicio.
