Staybridge Suites 皮奧里亞- DOWNTOWN(Staybridge Suites Peoria-Downtown)

The hallways, stairways, and elevator were dirty. Renovation during my stay was loud (drilling and moving furniture above my head). The spa wasn't working. The AC in my room couldn't be adjusted for warmer temperatures (the limit was 70F) or couldn't be turned off - it was too cold for me. The doors of the rooms close very loud (the walls shake).

I made a reservation weeks ago for myself, daughter, and nieces. This was a girls’ night out staycation. At least it was supposed to be. After confirming my reservation several times before check in, I was rejected at the counter. I was told that Peoria residents were not welcomed at this hotel. The attendant pulled a makeshift clipboard from under the counter with this information highlighted in yellow. I was told that my reservation should have been cancelled due to having an Illinois license with a Peoria address. I was asked to hurry up and get out before other out of state customers became nervous. I found it to be a racial issue. My daughter was traumatized.

First, its under renovation so several problems some that can be fixed, others...? The room was ok sized, the sofa bed was horrible even for sofa bed standards. It was springs with zero cushion to it at all. My 10 yr old frequently sleeps on sofa beds on our travels with no issues. He couldn't stop saying how awful this was so i tried it too so i can say this bad of a sofa should not be in a hotel room at all. Then the shower had no hot water. Thought maybe it was timing. Nope, no matter what time one of us attempted (late night, early morning) water was luke warm at best. Mainly we were there for the pool. Pool was small and the lights were out because the people doing rennovations forgot to turn it on at the end of the day? Front desk couldnt do anything about it but they tried. We even brought back food and I was going to buy something small from the hotel pantry area but it didnt even have a lot of basics, one freezer was empty but i thought that might have been because of electricity turn off that affected pool but they seemed out of most everything else including the low selection of candy bars. We had stated we had 4 ppl we were bringing but there were only 3 towels provided, which was small thing but still added to an overall poor experience. I will say staff seemed nice but the rest was so bad we left at 8pm the night before to go home to get a good shower and sleep better.. I hope the renovation goes well but we will not be returning.

Was a last minute book, needing to stay somewhere for the night. Price was decent compared to what else I could find in the area. Place was a lot nicer in person than in photos I thought! Overall good stay, would stay again!

The hotel was undergoing some major renovations as was evident by the mountain of old furnishings and appliances in the East end parking lot. Well that did not affect me in anyway the only issue I had was that my room, being close to the elevator, did not have Wi-Fi working during my entire stay. It was necessary to go to the lobby to use wi-Fi. Everything else I thought was stellar including the morning breakfast. I would definitely stay again

booked in mid October 2023.They canceled on us at the last minute. Saying water main broke. While I was still in the lobby they were checking other people in. I think they just gave me an excuse so they could charge someone else the extra $100 the rooms were going for that night.and they had my payment for 3 months and im sure that money made them some earned intrest and by them making money off of me and me getting no service it is atleast fraud if not theft of sevice

Had issues checking in because nobody at front desk. Coffee left from last guest in room, and fire alarm going off at 4am. I've had better stays at much cheaper hotels.

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Very clean. Shower was so awesome. Very disappointed that the hot tub doesnt work the man reason i booked there.

The property is in a perfect location for events at the Civic Center. The staff was pleasant & courteous. With that being said the original room booked was not available due to remolding. When checking in the desk clerk said they didn’t understand why ******* was allowing that room to be booked. We settled for a king room with pullout couch. The pullout was unacceptable as a sleeping option. The hotel is also very worn and used. The bathroom was not very clean. There were also people loitering in the parking lot.
