1. At checkin we were told the hotel was overbooked on 2 queens and offered a single king. We were offered vouchers for free breakfast “for the inconvenience.” The checkin agent was professional, courteous, & the highlight. Parking was plentiful. The room was clean and the mattress was comfortable.
2. The heating system in the room seemed to have two settings, off or inferno.
3. On a Sunday morning when the hotel was so full there was one staff member in the restaurant to take orders, bus tables, and take payment. She was polite but obviously overwhelmed.
5. The water in the shower never got above tepid.
6. Monday morning we came down to breakfast around 7 am before checking out and we’re told the restaurant is closed. Our voucher was good for two egg on English muffin sandwiches that were microwaved into eraser-like oblivion but NOT for a cup of yogurt or anything resembling food. She was the only staff in duty and doing checkout, passing our eraser sandwiches, and handling complaints all alone.
7. We witnessed several guests making complaints about problems similar or worse than our issues over the time there.
Clean rooms, a decent mattress, and one staff-member who was not overwhelmed keeps this review from being entirely negative. Poor heating system, tepid shower, lack of breakfast on Monday morning, all other staff seeming overwhelmed means I’d probably look elsewhere when I return to the area.
