Travelodge by Wyndham Lakeland

Pulled up as a cop was pulling out. Exterior entrance to each room was a large sliding glass door. View was the highway overpass. When I realized I failed to pack my thigh-high black leather boots, frayed denim mini skirt, halter top, and cigarettes, I opted to NOT stay. Submitted a request for a refund to Trip.com but was not granted one. Would recommend this location for men on hunting trips who bring their guns. Single women travelers are unlikely to feel safe.

They front desk said they were putting $100 hold for incidentals which is extremely high for that type of hotel and when I checked out they had charged the $100 requiring you to wait for a refund. None of this was said and check in and when I called they said it is posted in the door. What I did see on the door was that they were doing construction from 9-5. Now I’m out of town and down $100 I wasn’t expecting.

My husband and I stayed one night and we stayed in a room with a balcony and king sized bed. The room was very spacious and clean. We also enjoyed the ihop that was open 24/7 right next to the travelodge. We really have no bad things to say about the stay. We'll definitely be back again.

Great visit- just a quick trip in town. Love having iHop next door! Front desk personnel on Saturday night was so nice! Staff was great. Great price- said there was construction going on but we didn’t experience it!!

Booked to pay at Checkin, they charged my card the day before and said my 3 rooms were still not guaranteed

I did not like staying here at all. I didn’t feel safe- there was a sliding patio door with only a flimsy lock and no further bar in the slider for protection (first floor room- patio open to common area). The bathroom was not clean, the refrigerator didn’t work, and I had to pay an additional $100 deposit which they said will take up to a week to be refunded. I did not have pets- this is their policy. I will not stay there again.

This is the nicest travel lodge in North America (I have stayed in hundreds). The staff is great, rooms are spotless. A diamond in the rough!

The property was just fine I did not use the pool although others did. I was there for a quick day and a half and they suited my needs perfectly.
