Hotel I would just recommend one or two tiny tweaks to make things even better, which I will explain later on. The hotel itself is very clean and there always staff out and about cleaning. Due to Playa Blanca's location, it can get rather windy some days. As someone who loves a sea breeze, this did not bother me in the slightest, it's not a cold breeze at all and can give a respite to the heat during the warmest part of the day. Room The ”front door” to each apartment is via the balcony area. Apartment style rooms with living area which has 2 sofa beds, with self-catering capabilites. Fridge, microwave and cooker. There is also a separate bedroom with door. I understand the hotel also has 2-bedroom apartments as well, but we had a 1-bedroom apartment, which was absolutely fine. As with all hotel rooms, the walls are rather thin. Our bedroom overlooked the front of the hotel on the main road. I feel compelled to mention that I found the Aircon system the biggest gripe! I completely understand that the A/C systems aren't cheap to run. However, as soon as you open your balcony door, it will shut off completly, even if you just pop outside for 10 seconds to put towells out to dry. It then does not re-engage itself when the balcony gets shut. You have to manually turn it back on EVERYTIME the balcony door opens. The room key card required to run electricity whilst in the room as it has an RFID chip in it. My main issue is, if the room key is present in the sensor, the A/C should have a timer, so that if the door isn't closed within 5 minutes, it will auto-shut down, or have some kind of sensor in the room so the system knows there's people in there. It only goes to a minimum temperature of 22 degrees, so did take a while cool down if you'd been out and it was a hot day. The Fridge is on a different circuit so stays on regardless, so any food/water in there won't get warm. Safe included in price, which is nice to see, as this is not always the case in hotels. Food & Drinks No complaints with the all inclusive drinks, selection was a bit limited, but more than enough choice. Vodka/Rum/Whisky/Baileys, beer, wine and soft drinks are plentiful. Also plenty of self-service drinks stations too. The hotel I think could just do with ”another” bar open during the day. The main bar by the restaurant doesn't open until 6pm, which is also when the 2 pool bars close. It could maybe do with opening earlier on in the day. The main bar is also the only place where you can drink from a glass, everywhere else drinks are served in plastic cup. You're best keeping hold of these as they are re-usable but they tend to run out quickly, so keep hold of it to make sure you've always got a cup. Food was generally very good. Breakfast was always the same, bacon cooked 2 ways, sausages, Different types of cooked eggs (boiled, fried, scambled), as wel as fresh omelettes cooked to order! Good selection of cereals and continental style breads and
