波根特拉克特-旅館(Bogentrakt)

Staying in a converted jail, was going to be a first for me and my friends! it was better than expected! What a fun idea and a great location. there was a common kitchen where it had everything you needed to have a simple breakfast or a complete dinner. it was close enough to the vessel of the town, but far enough away to not be disturbed. We had mentioned that we had people in our group that were allergic to feathers, and the room was changed to have no feather covers and pillows. Very comfortable beds, excellent and informative staff, all the privacy you need and excellent bathroom facilities. We would definitely recommend staying in jail! Book directly with the hotel- it’s easier.

El sitio es súper original, una cárcel restaurada, en el patio hay bicis, un restaurante y unas vistas chulísimas de la torre y las montañas. Está a 10 minutos de la estación de trenes, se llega fácilmente andando. Las habitaciones son compartidas, al menos la que cogimos nosotros, con 2 literas. Las camas son muy cómodas y todo está muy limpio. Dentro de la habitación hay un pequeño aseo. En cada planta hay unas 3 habitaciones, que comparten cocina común y un baño más grande con ducha. Llegamos muy tarde y nos fuimos muy temprano, por lo que no pudimos coincidir con el staff, pero por vía online fueron majísimos y atentos. Los chicos del restaurante, que son ajenos al albergue, fueron muy amables ayudándonos a encontrar la habitación, ya que el equipo del albergue ya no estaba. Me encantaría volver para quedarme varios días!

Unusual hostel - a converted prison with the original prison doors made it a bit of a different experience! The hostel was really clean with all the facilities you need (kitchen, common rooms, wi-fi, etc.). Would have been useful to have some paper towels in the dorm toilet (as no towels provided, fortunately soap was provided). The hostel wasn't far from the train station about a 10 minute walk - but it wasn't easy to find, maybe a couple of signs need to be added in the streets! Loved that it was in Chur old town.

We chose this place because, really, how often do y9ou get to stay in a prison? So there is the gee whiz factor, with thick original cell doors and the prison yard. And the warden sells beer. Everything very clean and works well. I am a bit perturbed by a picture which seems to be of 3 rats cavorting. We certainly saw no rodents or evidence of them, although had we seen this picture before booking it would certainly have affected our decision. We stayed 1 night and liked it.

Hostel based in the top part of the centre of Chur. About 15 minute walk from the station through the town, you can get a bit lost through some of the winding streets, but the hostel sends instructions on how to find them. Excellent bathroom facilities and the room is fine. The bed was a bit difficult to get in and out of but it was all fine. The hostel was clean and tidy. The staff were friendly and welcoming. There's a nice seating area to sit outside the hostel.

Really interesting hostel concept — the place is a converted jailhouse, and it still retains some of the original details, such as the heavy cell doors and metal bars. The rest has all been modernized. I stayed in a micro double room. It was sp**** but well-appointed, with a comfortable bed, enough storage space, clean modern bathrooms, and basic toiletries like hairdryer, soap and towels. Above all the hostel owner Marco and his staff are incredibly friendly and were never short on tips of things to do in Chur.

Really great stay in a reformed prison! interesting building. We stayed in a double room which had updated and nice furnishings! bathroom was beautiful! Decently priced aswell! Really not far from the train station either and close to loads of restaurants and shops!

Stayed 3 nights only managed a decent night sleep on the last night. The hostel is not staffed at night so large groups free to make noise until the early hours of the morning. According to the unsympathetic staff we should expect this if we book a hostel! Well sorry for in excess of £100 a night this is unacceptable.
