西區旅館(West End Inn)

Located in a beautiful neighborhood minutes from downtown and the waterfront, the West Inn ROCKED! Steven, the proprietor, and his team prepared an excellent daily breakfast that accommodated meat eaters, vegetarians, and vegans. Steven was a fountain of location knowledge and dining suggestions. The rooms were clean and spacious. We are definitely going back.

The West End Inn is fabulous. Starting with the warm and friendly greeting from Milan to the wonderful fresh breakfast optinons, our stay was superb! Great location in Portland, easy to walk to the Old Port and nearly everything else to see in the city! Do it!

This was our second visit to the West End Inn and it continues to shine as a favorite respite. Lovely comfortable rooms, delicious breakfasts, warm and welcoming hospitality and Milan is an outstanding host. The west end of Portland is quiet and it’s a 15-20 minute walk to the Old Port. We loved our stay and will return again. Thank you, Milan and Milly!!

Beautiful well kept, furnished, and comfortable inn on the quiet side of Portland, but within easy walking distance of some great bakeries/coffee/restaurants/and bars. The innkeeper was incredibly accommodating making sure every last need was met. Will absolutely stay here when we come back!

The room was extremely comfortable. We had a king bed on the second floor with a large en-suite bathroom. The breakfast provided was delicious!! Milan was a lovely host and so interesting to talk to! We walked to a Seadog baseball game easily from the inn. We enjoyed our stay very much!

This was our first visit to the West End Inn and it exceeded our expectations from the moment we walked through the front door. The caretaker, Stephen, made us feel right at home, recommending restaurants in the area, answering all our questions, and even baking a batch of chocolate chip cookies for us. The room was nicely appointed, clean, and oh-so comfortable, and there were great views of the charming and quiet area from the many windows. The two breakfast choices each morning were excellent and deliciously prepared. We also took advantage of the complimentary snacks, coffee, and tea in the evenings. What a wonderful stay! We will be back.

We had such a lovely and enjoyable stay at West End Inn. At check-in, we were greeted warmly, received some dinner recommendations that turned out perfect, found a really spectacular room waiting for us, with lots of light, quiet, comfy and cozy. We were in town for a show and we could easily walk to and from the State Theater. We got back to the Inn late, but there was hot water for a spot of herbal tea before bed. We needed to leave promptly the next morning, but stopped in for a a needed coffee and a beautiful breakfast of poached eggs and avocado toast. The innkeeper was friendly and helpful but not intrusive. Thank you, West End Inn, for making our stay so enjoyable. We can't wait to come back.

This is a wonderful place for a weekend getaway no matter the weather. We found the inn comfortable, with a great space on the 1st floor to relax, and served a delicious breakfast. It is an easy location to walk to restaurants, and the art museum.

My husband and I at the West End Inn in conjunction with a mini reunion of classmates from my country day school one of whom lives down the street in Portland. Our overall stay was flawless. Room and bathroom were elegantly appointed and breakfast was outstanding. Our initial greeting and interaction with the owner/manager during our stay could not have been more hospitable.
