Uma das piores experiências que já tivemos na vida. De longe o pior serviço hoteleiro que já recebemos. Nós trabalhamos com internet e já conhecemos inúmeros hotéis ao redor do mundo. Pessoas que amam o que fazem e se dedicam a oferecer um serviço de qualidade. Desde hotéis renomados, sofisticados aos mais simples, fazer o cliente feliz sempre foi o objetivo. Isso não acontece aqui. Parece que estão lhe fazendo um favor. O check in começava ás 16:00, chegamos às 15:00 e não nos deixaram entrar. Pois bem, decidimos conhecer a cidade e os arredores da ilha de Skye. Passamos o dia fora, e retornamos 23:00 já que vimos que a recepção era a qualquer momento, 24 horas por dia. Ao fazer o check in perguntamos se era possível um late check out, visto que passamos o dia todo dirigindo pra conhecer a ilha e o hotel. Estávamos muito cansados e o check out era 10:00 ( uma exceção, pq todos os hotéis que fomos no Reino Unido tinham o check out marcado para 11:00). A atendente, de uma maneira muito fria, disse que não. Ok, não é obrigação deles, mas uma hora de sono a mais, pra quem passou o dia dirigindo, seria muito bom e muito atencioso da parte deles. Como eu disse anteriormente, agradar não é o objetivo desse empreendimento. O pior estava por vir. Nos informaram que nossa cabana era a de número 4 e ficava bem longe da sede. Notamos que tinham carrinhos de golf na recepção e simplesmente nos negaram o uso. Ou seja, teríamos que subir uma montanha, extremamente íngrime à pé, carregando as malas, pois o chão era de brita, não dava pra puxar. Você ofereceu ajuda ? Tampouco eles ! Não nos ajudaram em absolutamente nada, não nos informaram que o carrinho não poderia ser usado à noite, não nos deram qualquer suporte na nossa estadia. Subimos a montanha carregando nossos pertences nas costas, tendo que parar alguns minutos pra conseguir chegar. Esse hotel não tem serviço 4 estrelas. Eu não daria 2 por esse serviço. Primeiro: não nos deixaram fazer o check in um pouco mais cedo? Que nos avisassem sobre a possibilidade do quarto distante e do horário do funcionamento do carrinho. Com certeza teríamos chegado antes para não precisar carregar malas pesadas nas costas. Não há a possibilidade de utilizar o carrinho de noite? Cadê o funcionário pra ajudar e proporcionar uma melhor experiência ao hóspede ? Já ficamos em pousadas, hotéis menores e mais simples que foram impecáveis na atenção e cuidado com o hóspede. Nota 0 para a organização, suporte e atendimento ao público aqui. Funcionários despreparados e empreendimento com aspecto de amador. Ao perceber o despreparo e falta de profissionalismo do hotel, perguntei se era possível o reembolso, já que não havíamos nem entrado no quarto. Obviamente nos foi negado. Disseram que estava mto tarde para fazer o reembolso. A atendente de uma forma muito seca falou: vcs vão ficar ou não ? Não vão entrar na cabana ? Eu respondi que ficaria porque não tinha opção. Really disappointed in what is supposed to be a 4 Star Wilderness Hotel. Much of the site looks unfinished with bare soil in many places, pots with dead plants in and rubbish thrown behind pods. On arrival we were informed that pets were not allowed even though your policy (copy below) clearly states they are and we were charged for 1 pet. You did say that on this occasion you would accommodate our pet but this left us feeling that it was our fault when actually it was yours. To top it off you also informed us that the restaurant was closed for the duration of our stay and we would have at least expected some form of prior notice so that at least we could have arranged an alternative. Overall very very disappointed and wouldn’t recommend staying certainly not at the current prices.

I recently stayed at Bracken Hide and overall had a positive experience. The food was excellent, and the room had a cozy a**osphere that added to the overall charm of the place. The staff was incredibly friendly and accommodating. However, there were a couple of drawbacks. Upon arrival, the heating in the room was not turned on, making it quite cold. It took a while for the room to warm up, affecting the initial comfort of my stay. Additionally, some amenities were not available during my visit, which was a bit disappointing. Despite these issues, the warmth of the staff and the delightful food made my stay memorable. With a bit of attention to the heating and ensuring all amenities are consistently available, Bracken Hide could truly be a top-notch destination.

I’ve seen mixed reviews for Bracken Hide leading up to my trip, and I can say without question, we loved it. The Bracken Hide main building, bar, and Fraser’s restaurant are beautiful spaces that feel premium and luxurious, but not pretentious. The cabins are so cozy and just comfortable. They’re not big, but that’s kinda the point. We stayed in December, and essentially had the whole place to ourselves. With that said, the service didn’t suffer and everything was available. Actually that’s a lie the Sauna which is a big selling point was being serviced, but we traded that for a view of the Aurora Borealis from our cabin. Easy trade. As reported, parking is a bit of a walk, and the outside space is not pristinely manacured, but I didn’t go in expecting the Ritz. Breakfast seemed to be a point of frustration for some… I would just say check with the Bracken Hide for what’s included. We got a full warm and cold selection included each morning. Though this may change throughout the year. Either way, it was lovely to sit and watch the sunrise over the bay from the restaurant each morning. We absolutely loved our time here, and I think if you’re the glamping type, you will too.
