尚普蘭湖旅館(The Inn on Lake Champlain)

A hidden gem! We spent four nights at the Inn on Lake Champlain – Adirondack Farmstay Inn. The innkeeper and his family were very friendly hosts. The food was outstanding, rooms clean, and it’s a peaceful, quiet location. We were able to rest and relax, giving us a break from our busy schedule. I would definitely stay there again.

We enjoyed staying at this historic bed and breakfast during a recent road trip. The pastoral farm has a scenic view of Lake Champlain and is close to Fort Ticonderoga, Fort Defiance, the Lake George area and Vermont. The home is full of antiques with comfortable accommodations. We enjoyed visiting with the family and other guests. The breakfast offerings were delicious with farm fresh eggs, cheese, bake goods and fruit. Marilee S

If you are looking for a relaxing time on a working farm, then this is the place for you! WIth a beautiful setting on Lake Champlain in Upstate NY, we felt totally at home and enjoyed every minute of our stay. The farm has cows, horses, chickens, dogs and cats. You will wake up to the sound of roosters crowing and cows mooing. Look out the window and you might see Lani milking a cow by hand in the back yard. Breakfast was amazing and included eggs and organic produce from their farm. The chocolate eclairs were out of this world!! Our room was very comfortable and filled with antique furniture. We will definitely be staying here again on our next trip to the Ticonderoga, NY area.

It was a wonderful stay at the farm with the Ohly family. We stopped by Lake Champlain on our return from Quebec City. It was a warm and a clean house and it definitely felt like being at home. Karl made the most delicious breakfast and Lani gave us a tour around the farm. Our kids got to feed the chickens and follow them around looking for eggs. We loved Ms. Honey ( their dog) and her puppies. The Inn was very close to Ticodengora fort which was great. Nevertheless we left the farm with great memories, fresh eggs, and a Mulva plant. It was the best stay ever!

My husband and I attended the War college at Fort Ticonderoga. In years past, we stayed at one of the 2 motels in Ticonderoga that provide "basic" rooms. This year, we opted to stay at the Inn on Lake Champlain. The breakfast served at this B&B was the best I ever remember having at any B&B. Karl and Lani made a different meal each morning. Ours included homemade pastries (a cream puff and a poppy/blueberry muffin), farm fresh eggs (one day a casserole type serving the other scrambled); bacon one day sausage the next. All had fresh fruit, juice coffee, or tea. They asked if we had any specific dietary requirements or things we didn't like to eat upon our arrival. The Inn is a working farm, and the animals are fun to see when you drive up to the property. If you don't care for dogs, chickens, cows, or horses then this is not the place for you. The rooms are all ensuite with full bathrooms, very clean and we found the mattress and pillows quite comfortable. There is no tv in the room, but it is available in the sitting room on the 1st floor. We were at the conference most of the time and don't care about having a tv in the room. We enjoyed our stay and will book again for future conferences at Fort Ticonderoga.

Had a great stay last week with Hosts Carl and Lanni that was educative and relaxing. Left feeling deeply impressed by their commi**ent to organic and sustainable farming and the challenges they faced. Great conversations and wonderful breakfasts. I would certainly return to visit these new-found friends.

From the minute we arrived, we just knew we were in the right place. Carl and the dogs came right out to meet us at the fence and ushered us into their home. Lani and the kids greeted us all with huge smiles and Annalisa, instantly offered up her coloring sheets to our daughter who was anxious to make an easy, new friend. We just felt like we were long lost relatives who’d been apart for a long time and we just reveled in getting caught up. It was a sweltering hot weekend in July, nearly topping 100 degrees, so we were a little concerned about having no air conditioning for the overnight, but the beautiful breeze coming off the lake and a few well-placed box fans led all three of us to have a couple of the best nights sleep we’ve had in a long while. We awoke to the peaceful, distant musings from the chicken flock and the herd waiting for their breakfast. We went downstairs, following the smells of bacon, fresh eggs, and cakes cooking in the kitchen. We sat down with the family and had one of the most spectacular breakfasts we’ve ever consumed. Clearly lovingly prepared by Carl and Loni, every portion more fresh and tasty than the next. Great food and even better conversation, got us prepared for a great day ahead. We had a wonderful day at the reenac**ent at Fort Ticonderoga, but it was so hot at the fort that we looked forward to getting “home” to the Inn. We took a little rest in our room and headed out to dinner at Seymour’s at the Ticonderoga Country Club…another great meal! We got back to the Inn a little before sunset and sat down on the porch for another great chat with the family as the kids went barefoot in the yard until it was too dark to see any longer. We woke to another wonderful breakfast, sad to have our stay at the Inn coming to a close…this time… Big hugs and promises to return. We can’t wait to head back to see our new friends at the Inn for another great stay, some wonderful food, warm welcomes and warmer memories!

We recently spent two nights at this wonderful B&B. Upon arrival we were greeted by Karl and three of their extremely friendly dogs. Karl took a few moments and explained about the farm, with its dogs, cats, chickens, cows, and horses. He then took us to our room, which was clean, spacious, and filled with beautiful antiques. His wife Lani came home with their three children and we met them. Everyone made us feel right at home. We were given information about things to do and where to eat, which was quite helpful. Our favorite part of the stay was sitting on the front porch after dinner and talking with Karl and Lani while their children were playing. They explained to us their vision for the farm, which is extraordinary. Breakfast both mornings was delicious and it was fun sitting around the table talking with everyone. We highly recommend this B&B.
