Best spot to stay just across from Gene Coulon Park. Always clean, friendly and quiet. Easy access to freeways and close to The Landing, a shopping area and restaurants. Free breakfast is ok - the scrambled eggs are a bit funky tasting. But no worries, you can cook your own in your room if you want! Lunch is simple, just go to the park for Ivars or Kidd Valley burger. Sit on the waterfront. If you just want to slow it down from Seattle, stay here and take in the lake. Comfortable bed. Which is a Marriott standard!
The location of this hotel was great, the rooms were very nice, breakfast was good, but when you have paper thin construction and the room above you starts their kids running, jumping and playing with balls in their room at 5am every morning! The hotel would not move us because they were short staffed on their cleaning people.
I don't know where to even begin. We used to stay here when it was a Towneplace Suites, and it was great. Not anymore! I called in advance (after reserving online) to confirm they still did Park n Fly. The guy on the phone sounded like he just woke up and was only the janitor. No manners, one-word answers, and no information offered. When we checked in, they set us up for parking, but never mentioned any charge (there never used to be). We also asked for a shuttle to SEA at 6:00 the next morning, and he made a note of that. The room was nice enough but not clean. Debris on the floor, something sticky on one of the towels, dried-up food on the glassware. The next morning they had no record of our shuttle request. Fortunately they were able to make a special trip and take us. We were told we would get a copy of our room bill via email, which never came. After requesting one and finally getting it, I saw they charged us $10 for parking. I'm not even going to bother questioning it. We will never return. One last thing. When I gave them negative feedback on their guest survey, the manager emailed me saying she would like to speak to me personally, and asked when would be a good time. I replied with a few options. Never heard back.
Quiet location. Carpet is old. Plenty of parking but still charge $7.00 outdoor lot parking. Only one receptionist, l waited 30 minutes just to check in. Small gym. No swimming pool. Price doesn’t include breakfast.
Hotel grounds are nice, pool is right in the middle and they have a nice area to grill. It was undergoing renovations, but it was not noisy at night. The only complaint (as with almost all Homewood and Embassy brands) is that they did not remove the feather bedding from the room despite the call beforehand to do so. Otherwise a good breakfast and a nice location.
I checked in and saw 2 things immediately. First, the hotel is offering used flat screen TVs for sale for $70.00. Hmm, who does that... Second, at check in I looked at the carpet behind the check out counter and it was dirty...you could see a path to the back office. But this was the only hotel I could find... Checked in, boarded elevator. Broken display lights in elevator. Dirty floor. Room, so-so. True, it has been updated... but carpet reminded me of the carpet behind the check in desk so I used extra towels on top of the carpet and avoided walking on it. Thin walls. No idea who is giving this place 4 stars in reviews. Couldn't wait to leave in the morning.
