學院教堂酒店(Hotel la Collegiata)

La struttura è principesca e lussuosa, da restare a bocca aperta. Interni sfarzosi e molto raffinati. Anche gli esterni sono curatissimi (presente anche una grande piscina) e la vista è spettacolare sulle colline e San Gimignano. Camera di dimensioni "medie", disposta su 2 livelli (per accedere alla zona notte occorre scendere una piccola rampa di gradini). Arredamento in stile, presente aria condizionata e piccolo minibar. TV con soli canali del digitale terrestre. Wi-fi gratuito discreto. Colazione varia e molto buona. In generale il servizio è stato sempre molto attento e premuroso.

This hotel is one of the worst experience we ever had. Supposedly a 4 star, felt more like a 1 star hotel. The manager is extremely rude and unhelpful, the staff except the lady who serves breakfast, doesn’t really want to serve and seem unhappy with their jobs. The pool is dirty, no room service nor any kind of service at all. Shlep your own bags up, the elevator only allows two people to use it at a time, hair and snot in the pool and don’t expect any service after 11 00 ( more like an elderly home approach then a 4 star hotel! I overheard a staff member telling a guest that this hotel is privately owned by two Milanese families. It seems like these families run it on minimal cost and don’t really care what the hotel offers the guests, it must be just an asset that needs to be cost covering … A shame!

Instalaciones hermosas, unicacion perfecta y personal muy amable

Siamo stati alla Collegiata due notti per visitare San Gimignano e ci siamo trovati benissimo.La struttura e' antica e molto bella,i saloni sono decorati con camini d'epoca e alcuni quadri di squisita fattura. La stanza era piacevole ,con le dotazioni essenziali. Molto bella la sala ristorante e il terrazzino dove cenare all'aperto con vista sulle torri. Per quanto riguarda la piscina e' bella ed immersa in un bel giardino,anche se i lettini risultano un po datati. Buona la colazione

Splendido castello riconvertito in Hotel con un ottimo ristorante e una fantastica vista su San Giminiano. Stanza grande con letto confortevole e bagno veramente ampio con doccia walk-in Piscina decisamente apprezzata visto il caldo del periodo: ampia e con ottimi lettini a disposizione degli ospiti (da sostituire o sistemare quelli nella zona "soppalcata") Servizio all'altezza della struttura, mai invadente ma sempre pronto a dare ottimi consigli!

The location, exterior of the property and views are all outstanding. The interior of the hotel is tired and old with dust covered silk magnolia floral arrangements straight out of the 1980s. The room was dark with only a tiny window in the corner of the room. Once in your room, a set of 5 concrete steps must be traversed to use the restroom or exit. Very odd that there are no tissues in the bathrooms. The breakfast starts at 8:00am and was good. There is no way to get coffee before 8:00am. This makes things difficult if you have an 8:30 tour or early departure. The pool and hot tub hours are 9:00am-7:00pm. We arrived back to the hotel at 6:40 and were told "no, you can't use the hot tub now but you can tomorrow morning after 9:00am." Seems odd to deny adult guests hot tub usage, especially since the hotel was empty, maybe 3 other guest groups on site. When my husband did use the hot tub the next day it was dirty with a floating band aid and debris. The dining room is closed (seasonal) so eating on the coffee table in the "bar" area was rather odd. We appreciated the care and assistance of Stefano who did his best to make us comfortable under the circumstances. There is an echo throughout the building which magnifies any and all noises along with paper thin walls which allow conversations (and everything else!) to be heard. The gym is in a creepy basement (maybe an old fruit cellar?) with old broken equipment. Housekeeping entered our room with us inside and a "Do not disturb" sign on the door. WiFi does not work, tv buffers. Staff was not friendly, with the exception of Stefano who seems to do everything. The overall mood of the property and staff is dim and gloomy. Had us thinking of a book about a dark hotel......

This hotel is amazing! It is a beautiful historic hotel. It was a convent before and the rooms are big, beautiful and comfortable. The bathroom is big with a big space to take a shower. The breakfast is in a room near the garden and it was very good. The staff was really nice! The view is beautiful. I love this hotel. I can say that it is the best hotel that I have been. I will definitive come back if I'll have a chance.

Beautiful views of San Gimignano from the outdoor bar and breakfast area. Our room was large, and clean. Staff is friendly and helpful. Gave us great restaurant and wine tasting ideas.
