Ottimo hotel mare spettacolare, cucina ottima personale cordiale e preparato. Molto consigliato per famiglie o coppie. Cocktail ottimo con prezzi modici. Piscina pulita con lettini per rilassarsi nel prato curatissimo. Camere pulite e ordinate.

Beschreiben Sie das Hotel ganz allgemein* Die Hotelanlage selbst ist sehr schön und direkt an einem Sand-/Steinstrand. Das Essen war nicht einmal Kantinenstandard wert. Das Personal macht seine Arbeit, aber wohl und willkommen fühlt man sich nur bei den Reinigungskräften. Wenn man sich nur im Hotel erholen will und die keinen netten Umgang benötigt, außerdem geringe Ansprüche an das Abendessen stellt, könnte man hier einen guten Urlaub haben. Schade! Lage & Umgebung Zu Fuß ist ein Supermarkt zu erreichen, jedoch muss man dazu 1,5 km Bergstraße ohne Fußweg überleben. Man kann zufällig auch den Strand entlang am nächsten Hotel vorbei und dadurch den Weg verkürzen und dadurch auch die meiste Hauptstraße meiden. Capo Vaticano ist zu Fuß über Nebenstraßen in einer Stunde zu erreichen. 3 Mal am Tag geht ein Shuttle, für 9 € p.p. hin und zurück, vom Hotel nach Tropea. Ansonsten ist es eher abgelegenes Hinterland. Ein Strand ist direkt am Hotel und sehr einfach zu erreichen. Der Strand ist weiter oben Sandig und läuft dann zu einem Steinstrand ins Meer, Schuhe also empfohlen. Man hat eine schöne Sicht auf den Stromboli und manchmal kann man sogar den Ätna sehen. Zimmer Wir mussten einmal umziehen, weil im ersten Zimmer das Oberlicht und eine der beiden Bettleuchten im Schlafraum nicht funktionierten. Außerdem war die Ummantelung des Duschschlauchs kaputt und die Armatur zum Fixieren der Brause war kaputt. Im zweiten Zimmer hatten wir zwar nicht mehr die Probleme vom ersten Zimmer jedoch fiel uns im Verlauf dann auf, dass die Dusche hochkam, wenn man das Klo spülte. Was zu einem Fäkalgeruch resultierte der sich in der Unterkunft ausbreitete, selbst wenn man nur Pinkeln war. Außerdem ging nur der große Spültaster, der kleine war kaputt. Die Klobrille selbst war auch nicht richtig fes**ontiert und es fehlte ein Abstandshalter wodurch die Brille immer schief auf dem Klo lag und man immer kaltes Porzellan fühlte. Die Matratzen hatten Federkerne die man schmerzlich spüren konnte, wenn man falsch lag. Die Wohnungstür war so Schalldurchlässig als wäre sie nicht vorhanden, was sich jedes Geräusch anhören ließ als käme es aus dem eigenen Raum oder direkt vor der Tür, obwohl es vom Nachbarn kam. Die Türen der Räume waren Schiebetüren welche man nicht abschließen konnte, weil sie verzogen waren. Die Haartrockner haben funktioniert. Es gab nur auf einer Seite des Bettes eine Steckdose und man konnte das große Licht nur auf einer Seite vom Bett aus ausschalten. Es gab einen Minikühlschrank, welcher zwei kleine Türfächer hatte, in der man nicht mal eine Dose Cola unterbringen konnte und gerade genug Tiefe und Höhe hatte um eine 2L Flasche Cola hinein zu stellen. Die Klimaanlage funktionierte wie erwartet und war angenehm leise. Es gab einen TV welcher neben italienischen Sendern auch ARD, ZDF, 3Sat, Kika und ZDFInfo hatte. Ein paar private, deutsche Sender wie Pro7 oder RTL wären noch super aber sonst ok. Zwei Beistelltische waren neben dem Bett positioniert. Anso

Lovely, charming hotel directly by the sea. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The food is amazing, daily fresh food with choice between different dishes. 5 stars because of the breakfast bar by the ocean!

Let’s not hide it, I’ve fallen in love with the place, so let’s dive into the reasons: 1) the owners – Maurizio and Michele are easy-going and highly supportive (we’d forgotten the medication, but the following morning, I was driven to the local pharmacy and immediately driven back (heart medication, so the speed really plays the role)); apart from that, we’ve always felt welcome with any demands (wheelchair and mobility issues), and everything was sorted out to our satisfaction; 2) the staff – from the day one, everybody was smiling, greeting and chitchatting (given the limits of my Italian); 3) the environment – the whole area has a small village feeling – seeing the people passing by, smiling and starting occasional small talks – I’ve had a lot of chitchats and fun with staff and other guests; besides, the garden is exquisitely designed and well-preserved; 4) the beach – private, secluded and equipped – what to want more? Actually, the beach bar offers the more; 5) the transport to Tropea – three times a day with the price of only €9, it is a day-trip to try – the local cathedral has unexploded bombs inside (for real) – and you don’t have to worry to get some prosecco; however, the local transportation does not exist, so you depend on the hotel transfer, BUT you are driven if you are the only person – my case, no complaints and even nice and informative conversation; 6) languages – my Italian is poor, so it is a great help that German and English are spoken; Warnings: 1) water – it is drinkable, but it is salty (not dangerous, just unpleasant); the case I have come across in several places across the Mediterranean, so count on buying some bottled one; 2) speed – the time is sometimes metaphorical – 5 minutes becomes an hour, a day tomorrow; it’s like 40°C, so I wouldn’t be running around as well; the speed limits and road signs are also metaphorical – be careful when leaving the hotel premises; 3) salt and sand – they are everywhere and leave their traces, so give up on the highly polished surfaces – the sea is about 50 metres away at most; however, it does NOT mean that the rooms are not clean – the maids clean them and replace towels every day; To sum it up, I shy away from the standardised experience, so I look for the small unique things and the hotel really offers them galore. So, if you are into discovering and diving into the experience, don’t hesitate. Stay gold, gentlemen; stay gold!

Nice hotel with really good customer service. There is a minibus service every day to Tropea for extra charge. 15 min walk to the nearest store. For a hot august holiday, it was good that this hotel is on the beach. For extra charge there is also full or half board which we also took. Every evening there is evening program at the beach bar. We felt warmly welcomed in Torre Marino.

The hotel is extremely noisy in the evenings. Our room was located so, that we could hear music playing at the same time from three different places until midnight. It was so unreal that we just laughed. We expected cosy a**osphere and place to rest, and this was definitively not that. Food was really awful, so we went to the hotel next door to eat. Pizza from beach bar was raw and tasted like yeast. Location is isolated, no shops nearby and there is a 9€ fee for the shuttle to get to Tropea and back. Aurinkomatkat was our travel agency. Didn't see the guide for the whole week, and if you would like to go to organised tours and trips, you would have to walk the winding, hilly roads to some other hotel. With almost 70 years of age, we decided not to go. In the hotel room all was worn out and a little bit dirty. Maybe this is what you get for 2 stars? The sea and the beach are very beautiful though. The only reason we stayed the whole week.

Wunderbares Hotel nebst unglaublich sympathischer und sehr hilfsbereiter Mannschaft um Michele und Maurizio. Traumhaft schöner Strand, tolle Unterkunft, fantastisches, italienisches Essen. Absolutes Highlight, Frühstück mit direktem Blick (fast greifbar) aufs Meer. Direkt am Strand. Shuttle nach Tropea respektive viele Ausflugsziele wie Panarea, Lipari, Stromboli, Vulcano, Salina, Filicudi, Alicudi sowie Bootfahren, Scooterverleih etc. Gut ausgestattet, sauber und komfortabel. TV, Safe, Terrasse Das Personal hat immer ein offenes Ohr, immer hilfsbereit und sehr freundlich- Familienbetrieb! Tolles, italienisches Essen- serviert von einem unglaublich freundlichen und sympathischen Francesco nebst Kollegen. Empfehlenswert und großartig! Pool, Livemusik, Kinderprogramm etc. Wir kommen definitiv wieder! Alex & Wolf
