The Grange B&B

Friends had recommended The Grange having stayed previously and enjoyed their stay. We stayed for a couple of days during which we experience both the Island and hospitality of the hotel and staff. The facilities and hotel grounds were informal and well maintained. In particular the seated deck over looking the gardens along with the visual exterior of the hotel. It is well situated in relation to Bus routes, local eateries . Recommended.

Looking for the perfect place to stay in Shanklin? .... then you need look no further than this delightful guest house! Pat and I enjoyed a 5-day Spring break at The Grange this week and loved every moment of it! The property itself has a unique period charm that is of extremely satisfying appeal and has a quiet elegance that beautifully befits its location just 2 minutes walk away from the picturesque Shanklin Old Village! The rooms are extremely comfortable and well-appointed to reflect the period appeal of the property. The bed in our room was not just huge but also very comfortable indeed and the view from the window was of magnificently maintained gardens sloping away from the house towards Shanklin Chine and which housed many beautiful plants/trees. Breakfast at The Grange is of high quality whether you choose the cold or hot options and never failed to hit the spot in terms of flavour, standards and quantity. The jewel in the crown at The Grange simply has to be host Wendy .... extremely welcoming, friendly and engaging whilst being thoroughly professional with a genuine desire to offer a great stay! Would we go back for another visit? .... of course we would and without a moments hesitation! Would you love it there too? .... we think you will beyond any doubt! Enjoy!

The bed was very comfortable. The shower was powerful and a hot as you would like it to be. Our room gave us a good view of the sea above the trees. Breakfast was great. Coffee and tea available all day in the dining room. Staff were polite and helpful. The hotel is a short walk to the town centre.

A lovely stay in a quiet location. We received such a warm welcome and nothing was too much trouble. Our room was very clean and comfortable. The lounge is perfect for relaxing at the end of the day with a host of games, puzzles and books. Highly recommended.

Really friendly, attentive, cheerful and welcoming staff. More than a B & B, a charming historical house, with honesty bar, lounge with games and beautiful gardens. Good choice at breakfast. Comfortable rooms with toiletries provided. Good location for easy access to the Old Village, Chine and the beach.

The staff were very friendly and helpful. Very relaxed and comfortable hotel. Central for all activities in Shanklin and easy transport to the rest of the island. Beds were very comfortable and excellent, flexible breakfasts. Would definitely go back.

Tucked away in old Shanklin with good car parking and nice garden views and a nice terrace with tables. Historic house well kept. Free tea and coffee and biscuits in dining room all day plus in bedroom. Nice breakfast. Plenty on places to eat in Shanklin village within 5 min walk. Pleasant staff. Self serve drinks from unmanned bar on an honesty basis. Only proviso is that the Grange is not ‘by the sea’ if that’s what you wanted. It’s a steep hill down the chine.

What a really lovely stay..we had such a welcome the receptionist was lovely she couldn't do another for us ....the room was amazing so clean ..had a cleaner every day so our room was so clean we can't wait to return as soon as we can loved it ......

Great find. Fantastic location in the centre of Shanklin. We really enjoyed the relaxing vibe,and the staff cannot do enough for you. Breakfast was really good with great service. We also appreciated the free tea and coffee on offer all day, nice touch.
