當谷酒店(Don Valley Hotel Sheffield Arena)

I stayed here last weekend with my university swimming team for BUCS. We had 4 rooms between 14 of us, which was a great number to split up genders. The rooms were very good quality to the price, and well secure with access through the night. The staff were very friendly and extremely helpful, especially with our SU delaying payment until the day of check-in! Would definitely recommend this hotel, especially for sports teams travelling to Sheffield.

We booked here to be close to Ice Sheffield for my Daughter playing Ice Hockey. Wasn't expecting much for the price paid ...but have JUST arrived and the woman on the door has been so helpful and welcoming. The what I assume to be regulars in the bar also very welcoming. The beds are so comfy!! Nice big TV in room...lovely and clean ...very impressed and will be using here from now on when coming back to ice sheffield :) Only downside was the 2 flights of stairs I had to walk with my suitcase...but in all fairness I was offered help from the lady at the door with this...and I am unfit haha 😄 Thanks for thr warm welcome :)

The place was clean and was secure enough with two ring doorbells to get into the property and keyfobs. The area is a bit shady with several interestingly named establishments sharing the same road. For a Friday night my stay was pretty quiet, although I did have the ambulance service knock on my door at 5am trying to locate a vulnerable female and wanted to know the name of my partner. I get the feeling the area might have a reputation. This hotel was the nicest well kept establishment on the stretch of road though!

Visiting at a sad time,my wife and I experienced the warmest of welcomes and sympathy during our sons illness and passing from both staff and guests. The bedrooms were warm and comfortable .food tasty and filling.We were able to park our car off the streets in a secure area. The Don basically is a working mans hotel But having said that we stayed there 4 times during October and will be returning for our sons funeral.

Brilliant place to stay for adults for a weekend, rooms are clean and tidy but the main selling point is the pub bar areas and courtyard. So much fun, the bar staff and clientele are friendly and a really good laugh. There’s no hairs and graces here it’s a proper pub but also very safe and never any trouble. They have pool, table football, plastic axe throwing a courtyard outside they show all the different sports on multiple screens. I would say it’s not really the place to come with kids but for adult couples or adult groups like us it’s a really great place and a good laugh.

As a last minute booking I was wondering what would be the best option for a business traveller in the South Yorkshire area. Having stayed in a few places already from Worksop to Rotherham I finally stated in Sheffield and was pleasantly surprised by The Don Valley Hotel and the warm and friendly welcome I received. It was good value for money clean a d in great location and I will stay again.

Me and my friends came down for a few drinks and oh my god the beer garden was beautiful. The lights on there was gorgeous. All lit up looking pretty in the dark. Looked even better at night. Highly maintained, with a large enough tv. Beers was at a reasonable price rate, and I really enjoyed being there for a few hours. All the staff was lovely and welcoming. Highly recommended

Bed so comfy I even asked about buying the bed Apparently the hypnos best beds on market hallmark stamped There a nice members venue only bar downstairs where everyone was really friendly had a laugh Had a burger & chips my friend had goujons & chips & Stacey booked a lasagne we all really enjoyed & was reasonably priced. Room was ensuite with free WiFi & large TV we netflix (didn't watch TV tho as wanted to be in the fun bar lol) Amazing quirk beer garden on the back with large car parking areas also. Wen to the cafe in the morning next day had a full English it was yummy Don Valley hotel top marks 20 out 10 will be back for next tramlines event xx
