We stayed at Lake Kariba for the first time in 2016 and came back in 2024 and the changes and improvements were amazing. We stayed 7 days and loved it. There were new facilities such as a gym and tennis court. The rooms were also greatly improved. There were more staff as well this time around and they were friendly, polite and punctual. The food was fresh and delicious, the breakfast fully and well stocked. The surrounding was also really lovely and the views even more so. Would definitely recommend.

We had a great few days break at Lake Kariba Inns, it was just a shame about the surprisingly cool and cloudy weather! The kids loved the slides and played for hours! The food was good, but we felt it lacked a kids menu - that would be a great addition as the portions were big! Lots of ants, but thankfully just the small ones.

I wish I could have stayed longer. It was so calming and refreshing. Friendly and helpful staff. Darlington is very helpful and takes customer service seriously. You did not have to look for him if his waiting your table.

Their pool is great and restaurant is also good, but the reception was not helpful and they forgot my requests seceral times. You can't expect the room condition is good. It is quite old. The air conditioner didn't work properly so it was so hot in the night.

The property is set in on a spectacular mini mountain and has spacious accommodation. Some of the chalets need to be renovated, but it is a great place to get away for a short holiday. The food was good (especially the crayfish) - and the lodge has a decent number of activities.

The experience was second to none. a home away from home. I had the most relaxing time in a long time and the food was simply perfect. Talk about the hotel amenities, the pools, and the family-friendly environment Thank you LKI for the wonderful hospitality.

It was a beautiful cosy stay. The food was good with good breakfast choices.

The pools, restaurants, the general atmosphere is lively and it is a great place to hang out with friends and family. The room was clean but the lighting was very poor, it was and not so comfortable - it was infested with ants. I hope this can be worked on

Rooms a re well equipped , clean and spacious. Excellent breakfast and good quality dinner. Gardens are very well maintained with an excellent view of Lake Kariba. The only negative was the noise created by the evening departure and morning arrival of the kapenta fishing boats

Loved the place, well lit at night, air conditioned rooms… breakfast was nice…the staff are very friendly… two nights stay making feel like a one day stay… I can’t wait to come back again next summer.. I love the new buildings they give the best view

It’s a beautiful and clean place to stay. Making my reservation was a nightmare they took forever to respond and were very rude. This was my 3 rd stay. Seems like the service depends who is on duty. the food wasn’t so great I asked and they said they got a new kitchen manager.. which is unfortunate because they have a lovely menu. And service is quick. One thing to note is theHEAT. It’s really hot so come prepared, they do have a gift shop incase you forget your sunscreen or swimwear.

During our holiday in Zambia we’ve stayed for two nights in this hotel. First the good things: The location is really beautiful with a fantastic view to the lake. Also the food is delicious, even the meals are not very hot, sometimes almost cold. Now to the bad things of the hotel: It seems like the management is overwhelmed or bad. They would like to be a top resort, which it is definitely not. On each corner you’ll find things, which need a renovation. Our room was big and clean. The most rooms don’t have a view to the lake! Our room was at the entrance road of the hotel. The boat trips on the lake are very expensive. The trips are nice but there’s not a lot to see. So the trips are not worth the money. The hotel don’t offer a trip to the main attraction the dam. You need a car to visit the dam. Avoid to stay on a weekend in the hotel. It has a lot of people with noise children. The children use the pool also during the dinner and run wet around the tables in the restaurant. Why is there no closing time of the pools? The worsted thing of the hotel is the staff. Some people are okay . But the most seems to be bored and lazy . For example in the restaurant it takes hours till they clean the used tables. On the tables are missing sometimes the knives, the napkins and so. On our checkout we’d s discussion for 45 minutes. The receptionist told us, that our travel agency hasn’t payed the final price of the room and we’ve to pay the rest now. I’ve told them that we’ll just pay the drinks and food we’d in the restaurant. Finally I’d to call to the travel agency in Switzerland. Then they’ve spoken with the receptionist. By the way, this wasn’t the first time that something like that happened during the check out. Just read the other recommendations in tripadvisor. I guess sometimes they try to get more money. Unfortunately there are not many places to stay in Siavonga. So, it’s really worth to think about to visit the lake Kariba.

Beautiful hotel overlooking Lake Kariba. Facilities have been updated. Gorgeous pool with lounge chairs!
