皇后宮殿(Empress Place Hotel)

Fue una estafa desde que llegamos. No aceptaron nuestra reserva en Booking y no había lugar. Teniamos reserva por 4 noches y aceptaron darnos solo la de nuestra llegada. Nos cobraron mas caro aduciendo que la tarifa que nosotros habiamos pactado era de "larga estadia" y nosotros solo ibamos a estar una noche. El baño era compartido y cuando preguntamos por el jabon para asearnos nos dijeron que debiamos comprarlo en el supermercado. Cuando pedi que nos dejaran entrar nuestras maletas que estaban afuera, el asistente me respondio "pague primero y lo ayudo luego", mafioso total. La tarifa era no reembolsable y misteriosamente se cambio en el momento a cancelacion gratuita.....

Empress Palace Surrey - Very difficult to find. No signage. At check in - they did not have a record of my reservation and asked how I was to pay for the room. I hade transferred the money and fortunately I had my computer with me and had to produce proof of the e-transfer before I was given my room. Also had to pay for parking. I did not see anything on the site about paying for parking. Had to remove shoes at the door. Not a problem but when you have luggage it can be burdensome. No pillow cases on one of the beds. The pillows were covered with pillow shams that looked liked they were not freshly cleaned. On removal of the shams, the pillows within were not coved within a case at all. I had to steal one from the other bed. Fortunately for the other occupant, there was a pillow case under the pillow case. There was no bar of soap, no shampoo in the shower dispenser or soap in the dispenser. The towels did not look very clean. They may have been washed but certainly didn’t look too clean to me. Walls were purple, and many dings in the paint. The shower had black mould on the edges so I did not use it. The beds were like fold-out army cots and I did not find them to be comfortable at all. 4 “ foam mattresses. Pillows were cheap and offered no real support of the neck unless folded under. There was coffee in the kitchen, only French vanilla, and no coffee filters so I could not make a cup of coffee. No supplies of any sort. I have to say that I am very disappointed in the facility and do not recommend it.

I never checked in could not get close do to a wedding or something being held there tried calling no answer tryed contact ******* virtual assistance locked the chat so if charged I will have the fee declined

Thank you for this opportunity hopefully to let the world and more specifically ******* customers about the Empress Palace. The name and the pictures give you an idea that this is a fantastic hotel. It turns out you are actually renting a room in a house with a shared bathroom. The only good thing I have to say is that the location was convenient. At check-in everyone is there but they will not answer the door or the phone. In fact the locked front door has an intentionally disconnected doorbell. The building has no sign on it which seems strange when you are searching for your hotel. I drove four hours and wanted to just check in and get my key before running off to a meeting. Sometime after two phone calls, I received a text saying come right over and don't forget to bring cash as that is the only form of payment they accept. After I had my meeting, I went to the ATM for the cash rather than getting to use my company travel credit card. At check in, three things happened: first the price was changed from $169 to $175 due to 'utilities' No explanation forthcoming, Second, the lady of the house tried to put us in an inferior room rather than the one we selected. After putting up resistance she allowed me to have the room that we booked. Third, we were introduced to the surprise shared bathroom, definitely not what we booked. You want your own bathroom, it will be a bunch more money! Finally, the bed. A three inch thick mattress on a metal frame with no box spring. Ache!

No parking A house in a uncomfortable neighbor hood Decided to not even go into the place Presently trying to find a different place to spend the night

When we arrived, we were told that the reservation had to be paid in CASH ONLY. Nowhere on the booking were we told this. We have notified our credit card company not to accept any charges.

They wanted cash for the stay, didn't know that we had to have cash. It's late and we are tired and we didn't have cash. They said we could go get some. We said we couldn't do we all agreed to cancel. This should be stated in the information before a person books. It was all very weird and I think ******* should not be using this place to stay.

Worst and horrible experience. We (a family of 4) went to see that this place a nothing but someone’s house and the lady I spoke to, did not open the door in spite of constantly ringing the doorbell and calling her. I am shocked to see ******* having this place on their website. Ultimately we had to search for another place. Worst lifelong experience. Never book this place.
