I asked for a quiet room and it’s obvious zero effort was put into that request (even though I reserved weeks ago). We were on the first floor, a few doors from the gym, and in an area of heavy foot traffic (near the lobby / breakfast area, by staff elevator when I expressly said don’t put us near elevators, etc). You can hear every step from the room above via loud creaking. The heating is clearly malfunctioning, emitting an abnormal loud whirring much of the time. The TV doesn’t work. The room has zero outlets by the desk area or on the one side of the bed, and the trash cans are tiny. One of my most disappointing ******* bookings.

The room was never serviced when requested. Housekeeping left our door open when they took dirty linens/towels without replacing them, leaving the door open for anyone to come in and steal personal items. I complained to the manager and his apology and concerns were little to none. In the late evening a “night manager” young woman with another young woman came knocking “to see if there was anyone in the room”, rushing off without further explanation. This was quite off putting and questionable practice to say the least. “Breakfasts” that were included were stale bread for toasting, y ripened fruit dumped into a rack, old hard boiled eggs that were unrefrigerated, and basic coffee and tea. Shameful. We will NEVER stay at this property again.

Nice location, clean room, friendly staff. Chose to stay at the hotel because it looked clean, was well rated and had an airport shuttle. Only found out that the shuttle was available only during weekdays due to staff shortage when I called on the Sunday I arrived at the airport and had to take a 22$ Uber to get to the hotel instead. As airport shuttle was one of my top reasons to chose this hotel I was surprised that the hotel didn’t even offer to pay for the Uber instead. The AC in my room worked well but was super loud, so if you are not used to sleeping next to an AC that’s sounds like a starting motorcycle ever 15 minute or so, it’s difficult to get a good night of sleep.

The staff was exceptional. My issue was the poor mattress that caused an increase in my back pain and spasms. Also, the floor was not solid and felt like one might fall through. It was very noisy and made all kinds of noise when you walked across the room

This hotel is very overrated. Biggest plus is that it is close to the SU campus, but otherwise has little to offer. No restaurant, no housekeeping unless you ask, no coffee pot in the room, breakfast is basically just toast or cereal, internet did not work even though I am a Hilton Honors member. There is not much in the walkable area either except the University. The mask protocol is very selectively enforced, and while I was asked to put on a mask when I was the only one in the lobby, at breakfast Sunday morning a family of four was allowed to loiter for quite some time completely unmasked right in front of the food and the toaster. Staff was usually unmasked or partially masked. I am not a mask advocate, but if you are going to embarrass me, you better enforce the rules for everyone else too, and follow them yourselves! Very unprofessional staff and not particularly nice either. Rooms are clean but nothing special. Parking lot gate was broken and anyone could park there, guest parking was not being enforced. As a very frequent traveler to Syracuse, my husband and I have stayed in many of the area hotels, and for the price, the Skyler is not worth it.

Beaucoup Beaucoup trop dispendieux pour la valeur.

Small hotel near SU. Repairs going on during stay. Huge boom above our 2nd floor room 2am. No one could explain. Surrounding area felt unsafe.

Staff wore their masks below there nose or chin, so not wearing a mask at all. Floors are extremely creaky, not what I'd expect from a Hilton

Fantastic location for touring Syracuse University. Very friendly staff and a unique not out of the box feel. Litterally on Campus. Very friendly and accomodating staff. I enjoyed my stay here!
