格羅夫納之家酒店(Grosvenor House Hotel)

We came for the games weekend & had lots of fun. Everyone was friendly & the hosts were so accommodating. I’m not that into board games (my partner is) but I got swept away with the enthusiasm and tried some great new games. We were well fed & looked after. The hotel is in a great location - close enough to walk around Torquay but in a quiet area so we slept well. Comfy bed, nicely decorated room & very clean. Highly recommend!

I decided last minute to take my daughter away for the week, whilst leaving husband at home. I was lucky to find on booking com that Paula and Ray had one room left at a very reasonable price. When we arrived we were made to feel very welcome, with lots of information provided about the local area. The room (number 8) was small, but perfectly suited to two people for time away, any bigger and it would of been wasted space. The small bar and lounge was very nice, with the bar well stocked and very reasonably priced. I made full use of it due to not driving for the duration of my stay and both Paula and Ray were very helpful and friendly. The outside terrace was lovely and my daughter and I enjoyed playing card games in the evening, enjoying the sunshine. They have a vast array of board games to borrow which we hope to take advantage of next time we stay (which we will book soon). The lounge is very comfortable and welcoming also. As a vegan it can be a struggle to eat well whilst away. The continental breakfast buffet had lovely fruit salad, with a selection of fruit and seeds, along with cereals etc. The full English was well received by my daughter, they also have lovely special breakfasts which can be ordered in advance. My daughter loved the waffles, bacon and maple syrup. In conclusion we absolutely loved our stay at Grosvenor house. It is well positioned, close enough to Torquay for a easy walk into town, but far enough away so it is nice and quiet. Paula and Ray are very welcoming for children and my daughter can not wait to go back and stay again! Thank you for an amazing holiday and we hope to see you both again soon!

Myself and my partner had a wonderful 3 day stay at this establishment during the jubilee celebrations. Very clean and comfortable room,lovely breakfast and excellent service from Paula, Ray and staff. We will definitely stay here again in the future.u

We have just returned from the Grosvenor House Hotel and what a wonderful place this is. The owners, Paula and Ray couldn’t have made us more at home… they really are brilliant hosts. Breakfast was excellent… cooked to perfection and lots of choice. We were in Room 1 . Large, clean and looking over the front of the hotel. When we next return to Torquay, it’s The Grosvenor where we will stay. Highly recommended Anne and Peter

Ray and Paula were very friendly and helpful. The rooms and guesthouse were very clean. The bed was a bit hard but otherwise our stay was excellent. Would stay again

We stayed at Grosvenor House for a couple of nights. The property is well kept and maintained. Only one thing I would say is we missed air-conditioning during the hot weather. Parking slots are very tight and if you have a new car and worry about someone banging their doors into your car body, be prepared to park somewhere else!

What a lovely place,nice and welcoming, the bed was just amazing,slept like a log all night,room totally blacked out and very quiet.Breakfast amazing and cooked to perfection with no fat,extensive menu, and amazing tasting coffee.very close to the harbour and easy access. Good parking too.Ray and Paula are amazing hosts,watching them talk to all the guests at breakfast is a nice little touch definitely going back

The Grosvenor House hotel is an ideally sited hotel in a reasonable quiet spot while still being close to most amenities, if you are using public transport to get about there is a bus stop near to the hotel and is not far from Torquay railway station. The hotel itself is a beautiful clean and well decorated house which is run by husband and wife team Ray and Paula who we found to be the perfect hosts, nothing is too much trouble for them, we have visited for a number of years and have never been disappointed, we cannot recommend the Grosvenor House enough.

Staff very friendly and helpful, breakfast very good, not to far to walk to shop’s and sea front.
