Location is perfect when planning to visit the Washington DC highlights. Room is clean but compact, staff is okay.

Really clean and modern. Being able to control the lights, curtains, TV, etc. from the iPad was pretty handy. The Airplay / Chromecast option was also neat, though was a bit glitchy. Not a massive room, and we knew what were getting into, though we did find ourselves wanting a bit more space by the end of the stay. (We had large suitcases, so these took up a fair bit of room - it'd probably be fine with just carry-on luggage). Fitness facilities were great - clean, a very decent amount of equipment, wipes provided.

Overall great stay, rooms are cozy and clean but very small and if you like bathroom privacy look elsewhere. Check in process was a little odd and it would only allow me to use a debit card instead of my credit card? Street parking was easy to find, area is nice but dining options within walking distance are basically non-existent.

The room was really too small for 2 people. No real bathroom privacy. Only one chair. One person has to climb over the other to get in bed. At 68 & 64, I don't think we're the target audience. No room service. However, the staff was nice and the price was right. My last pet peeve was the lack of information about parking our vehicle. It would have been immensely helpful if SOMEONE, ANYONE could have directed us to a Parking facility that would take our vehicle for THREE NIGHTS! Some of the surrounding garages would not let us park overnight. Others had restrictions on the size of the vehicle. It was our first time visiting D.C. and a little less stress over parking would have made the experience better. We finally found a garage on 6th St., but then had to haul our luggage several blocks. If what we have said here is inaccurate, please let us know. We're not trying to put CitizenM. Oh! I almost forgot. Was the restaurant there a full service restaurant or just snacks? Thanks!

Paid for a boutique hotel; got a pod. I suppose it's my fault for not doing the research, but I was seriously under-whelmed. Got there and the poor beleagured guy at the desk (behind a bunch of monitors that are supposed to make this quicker) was completely overwhelmed, because the kiosk checkin system didn't work. Get to the room; it's tiny and someone apparently forgot to put a sheet on the bed. Food choices at the bar were super limited to light bar snacks. And to get food required a 10 minute walk. I mean, it wasn't terrible? But would not recommend unless you get it really cheap.

The bed was extremely uncomfortable and caused terrible back pain for my partner and I. The room would never cool off, even with the air conditioning on the lowest setting. Between this and the mattress, we barely got any sleep. The bathroom offered no privacy as it was essentially a frosted glass box in the middle of the room.

CitizenM hotels are designed differently than traditional hotels and are clearly meant for adult travelers who spend time away from the hotel, and are looking for a lively atmosphere when they come back to eat and sleep. This location in DC is a very brief walk from the Air and Space museum. The room we had was compact but had everything we needed. The bed was awesome, even though a bit of a climb to get into. The lobby and bar were energetic with music and folks conversing, but not so loud that conversation was inhibited. Breakfast was outstanding! There is on street parking near the hotel.

Perfect size, modern, clean room. Great location near a metro station that goes straight to the airport. Also, it’s walking distance to all the main attractions. Loved my stay and I will visit a citizen M hotel again.

Checking in was a pain . The elevators never worked using my card . Had to have them buzz me up to my floor . Said the bar was on the 12th floor but the elevator only went to the 11th . Bathroom fixtures would fall of the wall .
