洛基河酒店(Rocky River Inn)

First problem was I found absolutely no way to reach the property in advance of my stay. I repeatedly called the number provided by *******, listed on the Inn's website, and only got message that the person has a VM not yet set up! I left several messages but no call back. I had delayed flight and wanted to let them know I might be late, their website says check in 4-8 pm. I also had ******* call for me, same thing. I sent emails, the only reply was automated message that it might take a few days to hear back. My visit is over, I still have not heard back! I arrived just before 8 pm and informed the woman at the desk that she cannot be reached by the listed phone number, she shrugged and said she has the phone with her!! She gave me a nicer room facing the back with lovely river view. The room appears renovated, though could be cleaner. The wall paper is textured and appears to be filled with dust. In the morning I was greeted by a roach. The TV is huge but with a tiny remote and no instructions. No volume button that I could see, I gave up. There are no tissues in the room, nothing, only the toilet paper in bathroom. The bed is good but very high. They should provide a step stool for shorter people. Overall, it is an OK place to stay, the area is gorgeous. But the property needs to step up their service and at the least have a phone that will be answered. Also, needs better cleaning.

Surprisingly wonderful little place. I booked the room with 2 queen beds, it was so much nicer than any pricey hotel room I’ve ever had. I had to book wicked last minute too but they were accommodating and kind, thank you!

Decent inn for a last minute trip. Room needs some upgrading especially the bathroom. Walls are very thin. You can hear each and every pipe, water and throat-clearing noise. Based on other reviews, we brought our own towels. Felt safe though which is very important to me.

Uniquely Indian (Southeast Asian) furnishings. Huge flatscreen TV. Lots of amenities including fridge, microwave, ironing board, hair dryer, double sinks in bathroom. Scenic location on river. Easy to miss entrance because there is no large signage--look for the name on a rock. Office is in a small building at front of property. Staff is very friendly and welcoming. Enormous lawn at back of property slopes down to Housatonic River. Bed was very comfortable (with tons of pillows), but upholstered side chair much less so.

The property was very clean. Close to restaurants and stores. Rooms were back off the street. Our only issue was work was going on in the room right next to our room. Could hear a saw and vacuum running and the worker talking on his phone with inappropriate language. Luckily it lasted about an hour after our arrival. After that our visit was fine.

I only stayed one night on a bike trip, and I got in fairly late and left very early, but everyone was very nice to me and the room was very clean. The bed was very comfortable--the mattress is obviously quite a good one. All in all, definitely a place I'd stay in again.

I cannot find a single downside to this property. The staff was ever so courteous and went out of their way to make sure all my needs were met. The property and facilities are gorgeous and so well kept that I felt I was at 5 star facility. And the privacy and quiet allowed for relaxation, writing, reading, working, and sleeping was exactly what I needed outside of the hectic life and schedule I can find myself as a nurse in these times. Would stay here all the time if I could! ☺️
