My experience was rough. Outside late night activity well into 3am. The room lacked any cleanliness, I stains on the walls, counters and hair on the towels. The door looked bent that in a way was able to close and lock, but light source from the outside was visible in the room. The door looked like it was previously smashed in at one point.

We arrived late in the evening and received a dirty room. Bed was not made, trash on the tables and dirty sheets. our family member was a given a room that was already occupied. We went down to the front desk and discovered we weren’t the only ones with problems as their were more people complaining about other problems. Only one of the 3 rooms booked was decent.

I got this room just for the pool and drove my young children there for an hour only to find the pool was out of service. There was no mention o f that when I reserved the room. We didn’t stay. I took my room key back to the office and left. I feel I deserve a refund. Why say there is a pool when it is not available? Terrible customer service

Staff was very friendly. Room was not thoroughly cleaned I had to wipe and sanitize everything more than I usually do while staying in hotels. First room I was put in was not cleaned at all. The 2nd room there was hair in the tub and what looked like mold forming above the shower. The tables near the bed did not looked wiped down there was also crusted candy on the floor. I stayed at this hotel due to my student moving in to CSUMB unfortunately it was the same week as Monterey Car show so prices were very high everywhere. But for the price I paid for 2 nights the cleanliness of the room was unacceptable. I regularly travel to Monterey area but I will not be staying at this hotel in the future.

Our room has bugs. When asked about changing rooms told someone would come and see the bugs. They never did come by. The bugs only come out at night.☹️

When we arrived the cops where there. And no one at the front desk. The bed was not comfortable at all. The wall ax/heater didn’t work. We were in able to lower the heater.

The mattress was not good ie: old and uncomfortable. The hotel is very old and outdated. There was no coffee in the room, you had to go to the front desk. For the price they charge, it should be more updated. Probably won't stay here again.

Run down, not clean. I found gum on the floor, thought it was a tooth. Filth all over and damaged furniture, bed was horrible. Just overall gross. It was the only place to stay, $300 for a disgusting room.

The area around the motel was great because there was stores and restaurants available. However, my room was dirty when I first walked in. The maids had not cleaned from the last guests so the room was disgusting. I complained to the office and was given another room. That room was cleaned by a maid but was still dirty. There was a cockroach crawling down the bathroom door which I smashed, there was dirty and small black hairs left in the bottom of the tub/shower so I cleaned that before my kids showered, the toilet was dirty still not properly cleaned. I pulled back the blankets and found a long black hair in the sheets. The rooms are very small and there is no extra amenities like a mini fridge or hair dryer so the maids don’t have much to clean. I am not sure why they aren’t thoroughly cleaning these rooms. The motel 6 would be such a nice motel if they had maids that properly and efficiently cleaned. I also asked the front desk for additional towels for my room which were never brought to me. I wouldn’t stay here again.

The first night we were there, the card system for the doors broke down and the employee had to let us into the room whenever we came back to it. The employees themselves were helpful. Room was clean. A few characters walking around, but otherwise okay for a Motel 6.

We stayed here a total of 5 days. My sister graduated from UCSC and this was the more economical hotel/motel. Let me tell you that it wasn’t cheap (price wise)! After 2 days in the room, I asked if they could please clean it. The lady in the front stated that because of covid they were not going to. We’ve have covid for 2 years now! You would think that Motel 6 had a system in place for guest staying for a longer period. We asked for clean towels and again they said they were out. If you are planning on staying for a few days, I suggest you book 2 days then check out and check in for the rest in order to get a “clean” room. Our floors were disgusting by the time we checked out.

This is definitely bare bones. No kleenex in the room, no shampoo or any amenities. The bed was very uncomfortable and our keys to the room kept deactivating so when we would come in at night the door would not open and I would have to make a trip to the lobby. The staff were accomodating but could not make up for one of the most disappointing stays we have had over the years

Killed a bug the second we walked inside. The bathroom is caked in dirt. The door didn’t even properly close. The heater didn’t appear to work. The freezer section was iced over but the refrigerator wasn’t even cooling and it came with a lovely guest in it.

During our stay there key machine was broken, so we had no key to our room. Everytime we went out, we had to get a staff member to open up our room. The experience felt uncomfortable and akward.
