I rarely leave reviews but feel the need to leave one for Sonesta Cleveland Westlake location to stop you from booking this location. While the service was adequate (not the friendliest person) the room was absolutely horrific. The website photos are not at all accurate for this location. Paint peeling everyone, furniture and doors marred with scratches. The fireplace is a few red glowing lights on fake logs. Yes, I didn't expect much with the fireplace but the lighting it provided was laughable and nearly non-existent. No coffee was provided and the shampoo and conditioner dispensers were empty. But the worst? It was freezing cold and no extra blankets provided and no way to turn it up anywhere. My advice... spend a couple more bucks and DON'T stay here.

3 weeks and 6 trips to front desk to get maintenance because bathroom sink faucet was broke when I got here. one light had a short and kept blinking and other problems. They have lost 2 pieces of mail and all the front desk did was shrug shoulders.

We really enjoyed out stay here. Clean and nice rooms and quiet area. Tiara was our host and she is awesome, we had to extend our stay for 3 more nights and she was so helpful! We are planning another stay in June so we will definitely stay here again.

The rooms are spacious and well laid out. It even has a small electric fireplace, Front desk is only open from 8am to 8 pm. Housekeeping is once every 2 weeks. If you need towels, more soap, toilet paper, or the second garbage can (for kitchen) you have to go to the front desk. Went to use the oven on our last night - nothing to bake our pizza on. Worse, the oven had not been cleaned. The exterior of the buildings needs maintenance and paint. Good concept and very reasonable price - but. . .

Well I never made it to this hotel as they canceled my reservation 2 weeks prior to my arrival date. I reserved this room over 9 months ago for the solar eclipse so I'm pretty sure I was one of the 1st to book. My guess is they were able to get a lot more than I paid since my reservation a long time ago. I tried on a number of occasions to reach the manager Isaac and he was never available. I was told I would receive a call back and never did until I fixed a complaint with Sonesta customer service. I consider myself lucky as the reviews are terrible. I will never stay at another sonesta property again as this wasn't my 1st issue. Beware and stay away.

Gross!! Here for clevland clinic. Not clean! UnHEALTHY! Spider webs and cobwebs every where! Moldy tub caulk. Carpet is the kind that never remove shoes! Mounds of dust coming outs the vents on the ceiling fireplace didn't work they said tomorrow.

First impression was hotel was run down but kept open mind. Once arrived at room, there was no bath towels provided or hangers in closets. We stayed 4 nights but room only cleaned on first night. Had to take full trash containers to dumpster ourselves. Trash found between end table and sofa. Coffee table and towel bars broken. UNSAFE- did not use patio sliding glass door so assumed it was secured. On last night checked to make sure door was locked and found door lock was broken and door opened easily. Called front desk and was told there was a thin aluminum bar that can be lowered to secure door. It was never explained that the door lock was broken and to use the backup system. For 3 days and nights our room was not secure and could have been accessed by simply opening the sliding door. I strongly advise avoiding this hotel.

Visited for one night in June 2023. Paid for a self catering apartment. On opening the kitchen cupboards, we found barely any cups, plates, bowls, glasses and few cooking utensils. At reception, a young woman could only help by providing some paper plates and plastic cutlery. Oh, but there were two coffee makers in a cupboard - both broken. Complained to Sonesta via their website. Got an initial email saying the hotel was a "franchise" so their ability to offer my requested partial refund was limited. Said they would pass it on to the hotel management. By September, and several more emails - ignored - they eventually got back to me to say the hotel management would not be offering any refund. But they did tell me to have a great day! Further emails to the hotel management have gone unanswered. I only politely asked for a partial refund. It's a shame, because I used Sonesta in Florida before and was very happy with the service. Never again. Do yourselves a favour - and AVOID.

This places sucks. Was not very clean, smelled like an ash tray, the kitchen is equipped with maybe a couple of pots and norhing else, didnt get the fireplace room that I booked, and the bathroom is disgusting and moldier than a wheel of blue cheese. Stay somewhere else.

This place has gone downhill rapidly in the last few years. What used to be a great place to stay has become cheap and dirty. Seems overrun by families looking to use the pool, which is fine, except when I'm only given two pillows for a KING bed and a fold-out couch. Our room wasn't clean (dusty, buggy, filthy rug) and check-in can be challenging. Will never stay here again, despite the proximity to Crocker Park. There are other places to stay, albeit more expensive. I'll pay extra.

I would never stay here. This place is dirty and Manager (Ivan) is nasty to guests. We looked at the room and left without staying it was that bad. Front Desk lady and Manager were awful to deal with.

Came to town to visit friends and they suggested this hotel and the doubletree. I had just stayed at doubletree in Philly and didn't have a good experience, so I booked the Sonesta. Had a slight problem at check in, but the ladies at the desk were very helpful and nice. Hotel could use some updating and when entering our room, I thought I had made a mistake by booking this hotel. I was wrong, the stay ended up being good. Yes, the rooms need updated, but our room was very clean, roomy and the bed was very comfortable. This hotel was the quietest hotel I have ever stayed at, and we slept very well. Give this hotel a chance if you want a clean and quiet room.

Filthy rooms. First room had hairs in the bed. Obviously the sheets had not been changed. Hair all over the bathroom floor. We complained. No housekeeping staff. Front desk wanted to give us sheets so we could change them. We refused. Gave us an "upgraded" room. Another filthy room and bathroom. Previous occupants' ice cream bars in freezer. Dirty dishes in cupboard. Husband woke up with 2 centipedes on his face. No joke! Disgusting place, and we will never stay here again.

We had a pretty rough stay. The hotel was run down, the room was very dirty, and the staff was unfriendly. The girl who checked us in didn’t check us in correctly and couldn’t tell us where the room was located. Since we didn’t get checked in correctly we got locked out. When we told the staff the next day about getting locked out and the dirty condition of the room, they did not offer to clean it. And didn’t apologize. I’ve never stayed in such a filthy hotel… black hairs everywhere, stained un-vacuumed carpet and floors, half eaten candy bars under the bed, dirty towels, and boogers on the shampoo/conditioner/soap holder. On the plus side… the fireplace was nice and the kitchen was nice (but the condition of the room kept me from using any of it). It was also very quiet so that was nice too!

Disappointing. For a suite like a Residence Inn there were no dishes. Toilette dispensers were empty. False fingernail in the carpet. Front desk person was less than professional. Fireplace was nice. Outdated furnishings. Would not recommend.
