歐德塔爾波特渥切斯特酒店 - 格林國王旅館(Ye Olde Talbot Hotel by Greene King Inns)

We recently visited this hotel to catch up with family. I cannot praise the staff enough, they were all friendly, helpful and pleasant throughout our stay. Although the rooms are a little dated, they were very comfortable and had all that was required for a short stay. I would recommend ear plugs if you are a light sleeper as there was a little noise from late night revellers on Friar Street. Having said that it didn’t bother us too much. We ate in the restaurant twice and weren’t disappointed the food was very good and plentiful. The breakfasts were very good, a good size and fresh produce. All in all this place is great value for the money and will stay again if in the area.

Lorna and Debbie here were absolutely amazing! I had my mums wake here and they were so thoughtful, they made me feel so at ease! Helping to get everything sorted! The food was delicious and I couldn’t have faulted them! Thank you so much ❤️❤️❤️

This turned out to be a truly excellent choice of hotel for staying in Worcester in the middle of May 2024, with it being in easy walking distance of many of the main attractions Worcester has to offer, along with being really close to lots of cafes, pubs, restaurants, shops, etc., both independents and large chains. So I would seriously recommend the "Ye Olde Talbot Hotel" for anyone who's wanting to be basing themselves right in the centre of Worcester and be handy for where everything is, so to speak. The staff at "The Ye Old Talbot Hotel" were all also very accommodating, helpful and friendly during my recent visit, and were very keen to go out of their way to help and make sure I had a pleasant time during my stay, and showed an excellent level of customer service throughout my time there. The staff members I met were also very keen and willing to accommodate my needs in view of me having limited sight, and make sure that all my needs were catered for in this respect, which I was also really pleased about. I also found the room and en-suite bathroom I was in to be very clean and tidy, and very well laid out, as well as being in a good location within the hotel. The quality of the breakfast each morning was also second-to-none. The only negative comment I have to make is that the I found the closing times for the bar to be erratic on an evening, in that they would close around half-an-hour before the advertised closing time and the staff would ask people to leave at that point. They didn't do the normal thing of calling "Last Orders" ten minutes before closing time, call "Tine" when it was closing time and give people around 15-20 minutes to drink up after that. This is the only bar I have ever visited that didn't follow that routine that all bars and pubs up and down the country have been practicing for many, many years, and I found this very strange and puzzling to say the least. All in all, staying at "The Ye Olde Talbot Hotel" was a very positive and pleasant experience, and I would seriously recommend it as a really great place to stay for anyone wishing to visit Worcester, and it's certainly where I'll be staying again if I end up making any further visits to Worcester in the future.

Lovely stay! Very friendly, helpful staff, including the receptionist who went out of his way to find my hairdryer, Debbie our bubbly server at breakfast and Margi who cooked an excellent breakfast, including the best hash browns I've had in a while! Would thoroughly recommend! The hotel itself is a quaint warren of rooms, the decor is a little in need of some tlc, but very comfortable and relaxed.

We recently stayed at Ye old Talbot Worcester. We are an older couple with limited mobility but this was not a problem as the staff went above and beyond to help us have an enjoyable .stay. Lorna and the staff were extremely helpful and nothing was to much trouble.

This must be one of the best hotels and places to eat in Worcester, if not the best. I arrived for an overnight stay at about 6.40pm and was welcomed by Katie, who was very cheerful and instantly made me feel at home. My room was excellent, of a good size and was quiet, even though I had my window open. The bed was very comfortable and I had a good night's sleep. The evening meal was first class - I had the pate for starter and sirloin steak for my main course, which I asked to be cooked medium-rare, which it was, which was great because so many restaurants overcook steak. The breakfast was first class, with good quality ingredients (e.g. very fresh eggs, thick bacon and good quality sausages, tomatoes and mushrooms) cooked to perfection by Margi and excellent service. Debbie, the hostess, was very welcoming and nothing was too much trouble for her. I asked for the phone number of a local taxi firm, but Debbie phoned for a taxi for me herself, as she knew they would be busy later. This is an excellent place to stay and eat in Worcester. I shall definitely stay here again the next time I'm in Worcester. Thank you everyone at Ye Olde Talbot for an excellent experience.

My mum, friend and myself went for breakfast today, absolutely amazing 2 ladies serving/cooking., Debbie and Margaret - Most friendliest and warmest welcome you could ever ask for, breakfast was amazing and very highly recommended and can’t wait to visit again Thank you x

We booked a last minute overnight stay and had a truly wonderful experience. The room was clean and a reasonable price. The reception, restaurant and bar staff were all very polite, accommodating and helpful. The restaurant offers good quality and generous portions of wonderful food with a great atmosphere. A big thank you to Katy and Zee for making our stay fantastic. Sarah and Ian
