We love the historic charm. The hotel is absolutely beautiful. When we checked in we were in our room for a very short time before heading to the expo for my daughters cheer competition. When we returned around 8:30 P.M an event was taking place and we could barely get through the bar check in area let alone to the bar for a drink ourselves. I decided to head up to the pent house and grab myself and my boyfriend a drink while he sat with the kids. There is only 1 elevator going to and from the pent house and it stayed packed with people from the event after 20 mins I made it up only to see that area was also packed. 20 mins later I had our drinks and was headed back to the elevator where a group of others stood. They advised hotel staff was transporting very large laundry baskets to and from and because of that no one could get on the elevator. The only other exit was a set of steps outside and 1 of the individuals was fully dependent on a motorized wheel chair. The only ADA entry and exit during an event of minimum 300 ppl plus hotel residents a gentlemen fully disabled stuck on the penthouse while staff transported laundry carts? at 8:30-9:00 P.M on a Saturday? Makes sense. I want my money back or a hotel credit

This was a hotel which had recently been restored. It was lovely and they did a wonderful job with fabric, furnishings and decor. The staff was always courteous, helpful and smiles galore. A great experience altogether.

Very clean. Lobby is very busy and hard to locate front desk when arriving. The king bed sloped toward the edges. No hand soap in the bathroom; used the body wash from the shower. Very quiet in the room. Security is good.

Beautifully rebuilt historical hotel! Gorgeous and closer to everything downtown. The rooftop bar area also has the greatest views of the city from 9 stories up!

I grew up in the area and it was nice to see Hilton did such a nice job with the renovation, and kept many of the older features that add character to this "grand dame." The staff was so nice and helpful.

Excellent…service was outstanding. Food was beautifully presented and delicious. Captain Sara was very accommodating and desk reception was attentive. Fabulous job on the renovation.

When traveling to York, this is the place to stay! The hotel was renovated one year ago and is absolutely beautiful. the rooms are clean and very nice, the staff went out of their way to make our stay the best possible. The Rooftop lounge is incredible. surprising how large it was with both indoor and outdoor seating, food and bar service as well. We will definitely stay here again when we need to visit York. Surrounding the hotel, the first few blocks have some restaurants and shops. Three blocks west you'll find the Heritage trail. This recreation path is great for biking, running, walking, dogs etc. It goes for miles outside of town. The only drawback is that downtown York is still a work in progress. being out late on the street isn't the best for tourists. we had no issues.

We stayed in a suite which was fantastic. High end, clean and comfortable. We walked to Rockfish for dinner, but next time will check out the dining at the hotel. They have a bar in the lobbty. The bartender was awesome, but needed another bartender for a busy Saturday night. Bathroom and shower were great, with high end toiletry dispensers, although the hair conditioner dispenser in the shower was empty. I was waiting for York City to have a high end hotel for awhile, especiallyh because there are so many bars and restaraunts to choose from within walking distance. I would recommend staying at the Yorktowne.

It was a nice experiance to stay at Yorktowne. Since it is reacently renovated it is top notch on the interior. The hotel in it self has been around for almost 100 years and they have keept a good part of the old interior too. The loby bar delivers good food
