Upon arrival in Chiang Rai, we picked up our pre-booked rental car and were ready to hit the road! 🚗💨 🗓️ Day 1 - Exploring Chiang Rai 📍Wat Huai Pla Kang, admire the large Guan Yin statue and the elevator up to the top of the Bodhisattva for stunning views. 📍Wat Rong Khun, with its beautiful Thai art from every angle, is a perfect place to take photos. 🎨🏯 📍Wat Phra Kaew, Chiang Rai, a historical temple where the Emerald Buddha was once enshrined. 🏨 Stayed at: Hop Inn Chiang Rai, Clock Tower. Clean, safe accommodations, excellent location. 👍 🕰️ Stroll around the Clock Tower and pay respects at the King Mangrai Monument. 🍽️ End the first day of the trip with dinner in Charoen Chai Province.
