|Shirakawa Township Hezhang Made (1537). Shirakawa Township Hezhang Village is a traditional Japanese rural building that combines two building materials into a fork hand triangle and uses straw reeds to pave the roof. The thatched house is high and narrow, and the roof slopes steep to prevent winter from being crushed by heavy snow. This is the first built in the Edo to Showa period by local villagers in order to deal with the heavy snow, each house is a carpenter's ingenuity, completely nailless, cross beam slots tightly seam, connected into one. Such a joint palm building settlement, there are not many existing in Japan. It is now a World Heritage Site.
