Puyuan｜Find the ancient town’s white moonlight just 1.5 hours from Yixing!

✨ Took the kids to Puyuan Fashion Ancient Town for the weekend, expecting just an ordinary Jiangnan water town, but ended up discovering a treasure! 👏 🧡 This place is really perfect for family trips! Unlike other ancient towns where you just stroll around eating and drinking, here the ground is free of sticky oil stains, no bamboo sticks overflowing from trash bins, and no overflowing disposable packaging. Puyuan offers many hands-on activities for kids, and the exchange tickets you get with admission can be spent or earned. There are also many hidden experiences to try, making the whole visit super engaging~ 🏹 Immersive Song Dynasty cultural experience Archery, pitch-pot throwing, tofu making, abacus playing, earning exchange tickets—kids tried them all. While playing, they also learned about traditional crafts, which is way more interesting than just being lectured. 🍂 Autumn in the ancient town is stunningly beautiful Now is perfect for visiting in late autumn, when the thousand-year-old ginkgo leaves have turned yellow! It’s a great time for photos! 📷 The colorful maple leaves make the ancient town look like a painting. Walking on the stone paths, looking up at the trees full of autumn colors, every shot is picture-perfect. The kids running and jumping add to the atmosphere~ 🏯 Surprising architecture hidden in the water town The wooden pavilions in the ancient town are built by the water, with elegant flying eaves full of charm. Nearby is the Fushan Pagoda, with its blue bricks and gray tiles giving it an antique feel. Climbing the pagoda offers a panoramic view of the town’s autumn scenery. The kids were so excited to see the whole town from above, clapping their hands! Strolling through Shufang Zen Garden, every step reveals a new scene. It’s a great spot for flower exchange tickets and earning exchange tickets, making it hard to leave. 💍 International Jewelry Biennale Puyuan has had a grand “Jewelry Fair” tradition since the late Ming Dynasty. Today’s biennale is a modern continuation of this cultural memory. The exhibition, themed “Microstrain,” features pavilions from 8 countries: China, the UK, the Netherlands, Germany, Italy, Japan, South Korea, and Thailand, showcasing over 1,000 jewelry pieces. You can not only admire but also purchase them, making Puyuan a perfect blend of culture and fashion—a truly fashionable ancient town. 💡 Family tips ▫️ Remember to get a map and stamp card at the entrance. Following the route makes it easy to visit every spot without backtracking! ▫️ The biennale runs from 11/22/2025 to 2/22/2026. If you’re interested, don’t miss it! You can enjoy the exhibition and the ancient town without missing a thing! ▫️ Wear comfortable shoes; the town is quite large, but kids can run and jump without getting tired! ▫️ There are plenty of water refill and rest spots throughout the town. Snack prices are relatively cheap for a scenic area. ▫️ The town is open until 10 PM. There are more NPCs at night and shows like iron flower performances. If you have time, staying overnight is recommended! ▫️ For those driving, you can navigate directly to Puyuan Fashion Ancient Town parking lot. Parking is paid, 10 yuan for 6 hours. In short, Puyuan Fashion Ancient Town really refreshed my impression of Jiangnan ancient towns. You can enjoy the late autumn beauty and experience traditional culture.
