Cloudscape Painting: A Spring Journey to Yuntai Mountain

Upon arriving at Yuntai Mountain, I was immediately captivated by the vibrant green hues. The natural beauty of the mountains and waters here is pure and unpretentious, resembling a traditional Chinese ink painting gently veiled in morning mist—serene yet vivid. My favorite spot on this trip was the Red Stone Gorge. The canyon walls, naturally tinged with a wine-red hue, contrast strikingly yet harmoniously with the crystal-clear stream below. Walking between the towering walls, the cool air and the echoing sound of water made it feel as if the entire world had slowed down. Tanpu Gorge, on the other hand, offers a completely different experience. Layer upon layer of waterfalls cascade down the mountains, with the mist forming tiny rainbows under the sunlight. While many visitors paused by the lake to take photos, I chose to quietly watch the water droplets splash into the pool, listening to the rhythm of nature. If time permits, consider sitting at the mountaintop viewing platform to watch the clouds rise and the overlapping mountain ridges. It’s then that one truly grasps the poetic essence behind the name "Yuntai" (Cloud Terrace).
