They were built in memory of the French and Australian allied forces in World War I. The design of the fountain draws inspiration from the architecture and art of ancient Greece and Rome. The flowing fountain depicts a picture of Apollo surrounded by mysterious animals and animals. Apollo in the statue, with a Guqin in his left hand and an extended right hand, seems to comfort all living beings. Apollo's outstretched hand pointed to the east of St. Mary's Cathedral.
